Harrison Gimbel Wins Wynn Millions Main Event ($455,388)

The Wynn Millions in Las Vegas is always one of the most-anticipated poker series early on in the poker calendar, with the $3,000 Main Event being the premier tournament of the festival.

The $2 million guarantee was smashed, with 1,003 runners generating a prize pool of nearly $2.73 million. In the end, there could only be one winner, with Harrison Gimbel winning $455,388 for his efforts.

Gimbel is no stranger to success, with this latest championship win being just the third-highest score of his career. Gimbel previously won the 2010 PCA for an absurd $2.2 million and took down a $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em event in 2017 for $645,922 and his lone WSOP bracelet. He obviously knows how to play Texas Hold’em better than most.

The win propels Gimbel to exactly 400th on poker’s all-time money list, giving the Jupiter, Florida native about $5.65 million in career live tournament earnings.

There were plenty of big names that enjoyed deep runs, including French WSOP Circuit winner Cecile Ticherfatine (2nd, $310,901), Cole Ferraro (3rd, $230,339), rising star Elvyn Bello Santos (7th, $70,114), Jeremy Becker (15th, $25,017), three-time WSOP bracelet winner Jesse Yaginuma (16th, $21,634), WPT champion Dylan Smith (26th, $14,541), Aylar Lie (28th, $12,959), and Andrew Lichtenberger (30th, $12,959).

Ticherfatine, a poker tournament strategy wizard, has been on fire over the last year, as she finished 4th in the Wynn Millions 6-Max ($62,860), 7th in the LAPC Main Event ($47,200), 5th in the WPT Prime Paris Super High Roller ($22,873), and 6th in the WSOP Ladies Championship ($32,007).
