Global Poker Heads To Los Angeles For Live Tournament

As Global Poker continues to grow, so do opportunities for those who believe they have what it takes to compete on the stage to prove it. The announcement of a live tour set to begin in the City of Angels is an example of such.

Starting Oct. 17, the Card Player Poker Tour will have a four-day main event in Los Angeles. Players can qualify for the event at several satellite tournaments that are now ongoing at California card rooms.

That series of qualifying events runs through Oct. 6. Qualifiers will win a package valued at $2,200 that not only covers their buy-in for the main event in Los Angeles but also travel expenses.

Qualifiers through the satellite series will also receive exclusive Global Poker merchandise. Several buy-in options make the series more accessible.

Players can use Sweeps Cash or a Tournament Ticket to buy in to the first round of the qualifier series. For those who wish to use cash instead, the buy-in for the first round is a mere dollar.

The buy-ins increase through the following three rounds of qualification, all the way up to $240 for Round 4. Registration can be completed online.

What are the Card Player Poker Tour and Global Poker?

The Card Player Poker Tour is a path to serious winnings, as the current winnings leader has collected over half a million dollars this season. Global Poker is providing a new way to grab a seat on that tour.

Global Poker is an online poker room brand operated by a company out of Malta. The Card Player Poker Tour is exactly what the name suggests, started by Card Player Media.

Even if players don’t take home large prize pots, a free trip to the Bicycle Hotel & Casino in Bell Gardens isn’t a bad deal. The experience gained through qualifying for the event is sure to make players more skilled, as well.
