The Spring Online Championships at WSOP.com are underway for poker players in Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware. The online poker tournament for the World Series of Poker website started on April 1 and will run through May 3, 2020.

The Spring Online Championships at WSOP.com feature over $4 million in guaranteed prizes. There will be more than 100 events, daily tournaments, and a 12-event warmup series throughout the month. WSOP.com is making the tournament accessible for poker players regardless of their bankroll. The buy-ins for tournaments range from $10 all the way up to $1,000.

Warm-Up Tournaments

The first four days (April 1-4) featured 12 warm-up events with buy-ins ranging from $30 to $100. Seth Palansky, vice president of corporate communications for Caesars Interactive Entertainment told PlayNevada that the Spring Online Championships are “off to a strong start…those in Nevada and New Jersey continue to play on WSOP.com in record numbers.”

Poker players staying quarantined are heading to the website in droves. The tournaments are seeing more action than expected. Palansky shares that “through the first 5 days of April and this new series we put together, we’ve seen terrific user engagement, with our guarantees on our warm-up events (12 events) awarding $634,408 in prize money, when the guarantees for those events totaled $247,500.”

He says that the guaranteed prizes are 256% greater than anticipated. Not a bad start, indeed.
