SCOOP is back at PokerStars – and with some major loot for online poker players. The annual Spring Championship of Online Poker tournament series runs April 4-28 with a $100 million guarantee across 307 events.
This year’s series comes with some added cachet. SCOOP 2021 prize pools will push the total paid out in the series’ history to $1 billion. Players will find a variety of tournaments with Low, Medium, and High buy-ins from $2.20 up to $25,000.
This range gives new and experienced players alike the chance to claim a slice of the prize pool and a SCOOP title.
“SCOOP is a series that our community really looks forward to and plans for, so we’re excited to share the full schedule, a huge guarantee, and all of the promotions and giveaways we are holding to reward our players,” PokerStars managing director of poker, product, and innovation Severin Rasset said in a news release.
“We’ve ensured that players of all levels have a way in to this well-loved series and have added lots of extra value and more ways to win. And to give players a break from a busy online series schedule and for those competing in the SCOOP Player of the Series race, we will not run official SCOOP events on Fridays. Come along for the ride, have fun and play responsibly.”

SCOOP leaderboards paying big bucks for all player levels
On top of the guaranteed payouts, PokerStars has added $1.6 million in value through giveaways and qualifying opportunities. The SCOOP leaderboards are a major part of that and something is available for every bankroll.
The site is offering $100,000 in cash prizes in four leaderboards. Those finishing atop the standings and the Player of the Series winner will also receive trophies.
Every player participating in a SCOOP event receives points based on finishing position. The four leaderboards are divided up for tournaments with Low, Medium, and High buy-ins. The overall Player of the Series also awards the best overall competitor.
Plenty of of extras planned throughout series
The leaderboards aren’t the only way to earn some freebies. The SCOOP Ticket Machine will award $1.5 million in SCOOP tournament tickets beginning March 28. Anyone entering a SCOOP event earns entry into daily drawings for a chance to win.
The SCOOP Fast Track promotion offers players a chance to qualify for the $10,300 High Main Event ($5 million guarantee) for just $1. Entries into the other championship events are also on the line.
Fast Track tournaments feature four steps with four different tournaments. Players can buy in at any step with Main Event tickets awarded at Step 4.
PokerStars will also be offering special $4 and $22 Spin & Go’s giving away SCOOP tickets.
As part of the company’s ongoing activities for female poker players, the $22 Women’s Sunday tournament on April 4 will also award:
- a $530 SCOOP ticket for first place
