PokerStars returns to the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in Nottingham, United Kingdom, with a new stop on the Road to PSPC schedule.
The latest event runs Aug. 25-29 and features a Platinum Pass on the line to the winner in the £340 Main Event. That tournament takes place over the full five days of the festival.
Beyond that event, there are a number of side events players can check out as well. The site is already giving online poker players a shot at winning a tournament seat.
What is the Road to PSPC tour?
PSPC stands for the PokerStars Players Championship and is scheduled for January 2023 in the Bahamas. A Platinum Pass guarantees a complete tournament package for the winner plus one guest including:
- tournament buy-in
- airline flights
- hotel stay
The entire package is valued at more than $30,000 and the event takes place at the Baha Mar hotel resort. The inaugural PSPC ran in 2020 with Spain’s Ramón Colillas, a Platinum Pass winner, topping a field of 1,039 entries.
That $25,000 buy-in event produced a prize pool of $26.5 million and Colillas scored $5.1 million for the win. The pandemic led to the cancellation of the event in 2021-22, but the tournament now returns next year.
Platinum Passes have become highly sought after among players. PokerStars also offers other chances to win via social media contests and other means.
Another Platinum Pass opportunity in the United Kingdom; online satellites available
Those heading to the Nottingham series have the opportunity to win one of the coveted passes. Players can also win a Nottingham seat by playing online.
“Players Choice” satellites are already running nightly on PokerStars via the .COM, .EU, and French and Spanish platforms. The satellites also run three times per week on the Italian platform as well.
Players can win more than one entry, which they can use as multiple entries to Nottingham. Tournament seats can also be used at other stops on the Road to PSPC schedule.
These events offer some nice opportunities for players to take a shot at a Platinum Pass.
Road to PSPC rolls on
Beyond the Nottingham stop, Road to PSPC tournaments continue around the world in the coming months. Action concluded recently in Liechtenstein, France, Spain, San Marino, and Brazil.
However, more action is right around the corner, offering players several opportunities to win a Platinum Pass. Here’s a complete look at the Road to PSPC tour.
