Angela Jordison Wins Second MSPT Main Event Title

A familiar name in MSPT poker took home the most recent Main Event title at Grand Falls Casino, just outside Sioux Falls, SD. The 513-entry field was conquered by Angela Jordison, who won the $95,381 grand prize.

Jordison is a native of Oregon, though she’s turned the Midwest into her personal stomping ground in recent years as she continues to turn in impressive results on the MSPT and in other midstakes poker tournaments.

This is her second career MSPT Main Event title, with her first coming in the Ameristar East Chicago Main Event in September 2024. That win still remains her largest career cash for $161,513 while this win in Sioux Falls makes for the fourth-largest cash of her career.

This is yet another notable MSPT result after Faraz Jaka secured a notable win on the same tour a couple of months ago.

Jordison’s Career Results

Jordison is a well-known friendly player around mid-stakes tournaments nationwide, proving to be a popular presence around the various poker tours. She has plenty of experience, with results dating back to 2006.

But it has been in recent years where she has really ramped up her results with her top 17 cashes all coming within the last four years.

The last few years of increased cashes and deep runs has brought her career earnings up to $1.7 million which puts her just inside the top 10 on the all-time Oregon money earnings list.

The second career MSPT main event title makes her eligible for MSPT Hall of Fame consideration, which could be something on the horizon for her in coming years. However, with MSPT rebranding, there is new Hall of Fame criteria.

Road to this Title

MSPT provided live updates for this event throughout. Jordison entered the final table as the second shortest stack but was able to quickly rise up to make herself a contender for the title.

She would eventually get to heads up play against TJ Murphy where the two of them made an ICM chop deal. Jordison then won the heads-up battle fairly quickly to solidify her big title.

Jordison showed her impressive understanding of poker ranges as after the win she credited her ICM short stack study for helping her get over the hump in this particular win.
