Doug Polk Pulling Closer to Even in $100K HU Challenge

Doug Polk is starting to believe again in his Code Doug $100K challenge. His recent results on Sunday have moved him back up as his trends continue to be swingy up and down throughout the challenge.

This was overall Day 21 of the challenge where he is trying to win $100K on ClubWPT Gold, a new offshoot of WPT Global. The challenge is in his specialty of heads up poke, which is a specific variation of NL Hold’em. His ambitious goal is to win that money in the span of just one month.

The challenge began on March 3rd, meaning that the challenge is entering the later stages as things are getting serious. This is on the heels of a wild scenario not long ago where Polk lost a whopping $121K single hand.

Polk’s most recent iteration of the challenge on Day 21 resulted in a $12,830 upswing in a victory over new Lodge business partner Nik Airball. In typical Polk fashion, he made sure to give a solid thank you to Nik for the donations after his big win.

The day in the green moved Polk back up to pull him closer to even, but he is still $24,500 in the red overall. The lowpoint of the challenge was on March 21st, when he was down nearly $50,000.

The last time in the green was back on March 14th, when he was close to $20,000 up. The last three days of results have ended up in the positive, the first time that has happened for three straight days since that March 14th highpoint.

Despite the recent positive momentum, it will still be a big challenge for Polk to reach his $100K goal in the remaining nine days of battle. He will need to win $124,500 in that span to achieve his goal.

Knowing Polk, he will make an entertaining show of if, win or lose. It will certainly be interesting to follow the conclusion of this challenge on Doug Polk’s Youtube page, with each challenge streamed live in its entirety.
