On Wednesday, BetMGM Poker announced that Abby Merk has been signed as their newest brand ambassador.
Merk joins Darren Elias as the team’s second-ever poker ambassador and joins the likes of several celebrities in the BetMGM family. Jamie Foxx, Jalen Rose, Wayne Gretzky, and Barry Sanders are just a few examples.
Not only does Merk know how to play Texas Hold’em, she’s one of the top content creators in the poker industry. At the 2025 GPI Awards, Merk won the Rising Star in Content Creation award.
Merk has roughly 85,000 followers on her Instagram, where she posts content on a daily basis. She’s previously worked for PokerNews, Poker.Org, and WSOP amongst many other brands.
Merk also has about 20,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, where she creates poker lifestyle vlogs. She constantly discusses poker tournament strategy while traveling on the road, usually covering events all over the globe.
Casey Hubris, Chief Marketing Officer at BetMGM said: “Abby Merk’s winning personality and love of poker reflect the type of excitement we are building in the poker community.
“She is a fantastic addition to our stable of ambassadors and we look for her to build on her strong connection with her audience with her authentic style of storytelling.”
As far as her play on the felt goes, she has recently cleared over $50,000 in career live tournament earnings, with her best result coming in the 2023 WSOP Circuit Chicago Main Event, when she placed 21st for $11,613.
