Triton Poker returns to Cyprus at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel from Sept. 5-19 with 13 nosebleed stakes tournaments. The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series should again feature some of the biggest names in poker as well as some well-heeled businessmen looking for massive payouts.
The series features buy-ins ranging from $25,000 to $200,000 and Triton will once again stream much of the action for poker fans around the world.
A unique six-figure championship
When the action gets underway, players will have numerous opportunities to win some big money. The Coin Rivet Invitational serves as a major series bullet point and is new to the Triton action.
The $200,000 buy-in tournament allows for a single re-entry and features a unique format. On the first day of the tournament, poker pros are separated from recreational players before the fields are merged on Day 2.
The format ensures both sides of Triton’s player base are equally represented, with the game’s affluent enthusiasts squaring off against poker’s elite, the company notes.
“We are excited to host the Coin Rivet Invitational, which will bring together a diverse group of passionate entrepreneurs and poker professionals to create an exciting event that will be streamed globally,” Triton CEO Andy Wong said in a news release.
“Our events always promise great poker showdowns, with the world’s best players competing in thrilling rounds of intense competition.”
Other highlights from the Triton Cyprus series
Beyond the Coin Rivet tournament, the Triton Cyprus festival also features $100,000 buy-in main events in both No Limit Hold’em and Short Deck. The full schedule includes numerous other Hold’em, Short Deck, and Pot Limit Omaha.
The festival kicks off in the final weeks of the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party, running at the same venue from Aug. 19 – Sept. 5. That series features buy-ins from $500 to $10,000.
The race for the Triton Player of the Year award also continues in Cyprus. The competition awards $200,000 in prize money and an exclusive trophy to the winner.
Stephen Chidwick leads the way currently with 1,265 points after a big performance in the recent Madrid series. He won the €100,000 Short Deck Main Event and had two other top-three finishes.
With three stops remaining, the race is still wide open. Here’s a look at the complete Cyprus series schedule.
