Another Step Forward For Gamblit Skill-Based TriStation

After spending six months at a number of Las Vegas Strip casinos operating under the Nevada Gaming Control Board’s New Innovation Beta program, Gamblit Gaming announced this week its real-money skill-based single-player TriStation game machines have been officially approved for statewide roll out.

This is a move Gamblit Gaming CEO Eric Meyerhofer says will kick off a rapid expansion of skill-based gaming across the United States and Canada:

“The TriStation approval is a huge win for Gamblit Gaming and another step forward for the skill gaming movement.”

Accelerating innovation at Nevada casinos

The state’s New Innovation Beta program is designed to accelerate the introduction of innovative gaming concepts in Nevada casinos. Under the program, Gamblit Gaming’s TriStation game machines were installed at Las Vegas Strip properties including Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino, MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, and The Venetian Las Vegas.

The TriStation game machines offer players the opportunity to choose from five skill-based video games, blending Gamblit-created original content with popular partner games. The machines feature the following games:

  • Into the Dead – A PikPok-developed zombie action first-person shooter, Into the Dead was first released in 2012 for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 platforms. It has seen over 77 million downloads online.
  • Catapult King – A Wicked Witch-developed 3D fantasy adventure game, Catapult King was first released in 2012 across a variety of gaming platforms. It has seen more than 40 million downloads.
  • Lucky Words – A Gamblit-developed word game asking players to chain letters and form words in lightning fast 30-second rounds.
  • Match 3volution – A Gamblit original puzzle and match 3 adventure game.
  • Smoothie Blast – A Gamblit-designed match 3 game.

Meyerhofer said Gamblit learned several things from the six-month trial. Including the fact these skill-based games attract younger players with different habits than traditional slots:

“After six months of operation, we saw our average player was 36 years old; 22 years younger than the average slots player in Nevada. Additionally, nearly 2/3 of our players were not using player rewards cards, equating the launch of our games to a new, untapped revenue stream for casino operators.”

More skill-based Gamblit casino games

Gamblit Gaming develops and publishes a variety of games it says are aimed at bringing a casual, arcade sense of fun and skill into casinos.

In fact, the company previously launched its Model G skill-based interactive games tables inside a variety of Nevada casinos. At the time, they became the first multiplayer skill games on casino floors. Now, players can find Model G interactive games at:

  • Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino
  • MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
  • Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
  • The LINQ Hotel & Casino
  • Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
  • The Venetian Las Vegas
  • Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino
  • Select Carnival Cruises

Gamblit Gaming is also planning to launch the first branded Model G game in Nevada casinos this summer. Deal or No Deal Poker Special is a casino experience based on the popular TV show of the same name.

Additionally, Gamblit will release a series of other skill-based casino games later in 2018, including PAC-MAN Battle Casino. Gamblit and the original BANDAI NAMCO team behind PAC-MAN Battle Royale developed PAC-MAN Battle Casino.  It will be the first multiplayer PAC-MAN casino game. PAC-MAN Battle Casino was custom-made for the Model G.

Moreover, Meyerhofer said big things are ahead for the company and the skill-based gaming sector as a whole:

“With hit games like Jetpack Joyride, Deal or No Deal, PAC-MAN and Cut the Rope launching later this year, the future of skill-gaming is very bright.”
