888poker recently launched a new software client and mobile app for an improved online poker experience. The advanced platform comes as more operators look to cater to the growing mobile gaming segment.
With so many involved in some sort of mobile gaming, reaching these players makes sense. Along with the launch, 888 has ramped up the promotions to celebrate. That includes giving away $1 million in prizes over the next two months.
Checking out the new 888poker platform
Players at 888 will now have a completely new gaming experience. Known as “Made to Play,” the platform has been in development for quite a while. The app is now available in every market except Italy and New Jersey in the United States.
“After a two-year wait, we are introducing a brand-new advanced poker platform,” the company notes. “The software boasts first-rate technology for an improved online poker experience.”
Those enhancements include better graphics and gameplay. The app is also completely different from the site’s previous offering. Players will now find an innovative platform in portrait mode.
That means users can play with one hand, making for an easier way to play on a small screen. Users can also now multi-table, a new feature for 888 players. Players can easily swipe between up to four games.
“The game is fun and built with the player in the center,” the company notes. “Throughout the time we built the app, we put the game experience and the player’s personal experience at the center, and everything that was built was for our players.”
888 even consulted players when designing the platform, with the goal of delivering an improved entertainment product. That includes bringing some social gaming aspects to the mobile offering including:
options to throw things at opponents
cool avatars
emojis
gift drops
Despite the changes, the app remains a poker product and fair to players of all skill levels. The new mobile game experience is perfect for small-field events like Snap fast-fold poker and BLAST Jackpot Sit & Go’s.
888 officials believe the new software and app take the player environment to the next level. And fun remains top of mind.
Big promotions, $1 million part of 888poker platform celebration
With the launch of the new software and app, 888 is ready to celebrate. The site launched a massive promotion on Nov. 11 giving away $1 million in prizes.
Through Jan. 10, players can enjoy exploring the new app packed with exciting games. Players will find plenty of freebies including:
Most freerolls don’t even require a ticket. Beyond those events, the “Winner Spinner” promotion gives players a chance to win every day. Winners can claim cash prizes and a ticket to two special freeroll events.
Additionally, “Happy Hour” specials give players the chance to bag a special deal. By simply playing at certain times of the day, users can take home prizes like:
BLAST Boost – earn some free BLAST tickets (Monday and Wednesday – 16:00-18:00 GMT)
Snap Back – rakeback opportunities (Tuesday and Thursday – 16:00-18:00 GMT)
Satellite Specials – earn 100% rakeback on all satellites (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – 14:00-17:00 GMT)
As part of the Made To Playlaunch festivities, 888 is also running a “Gift Drop” promotion. A random table will be picked every five minutes with players collecting up to $1,000 in extra prizes That includes BLAST tickets and cash just for playing.
Free cash on an improved platform – it should be a fun two months for 888poker players.

With major live tournament events still on hold, partypoker affirmed its continued partnership with the World Poker Tour on Monday. The two companies plan even more in 2021 with several online festivals already in the works.
Beyond that, the companies are teaming up for two live events as well. WPT Russia will run Feb. 19-28, with the partypoker LIVE event held at Casino Sochi. Online satellites are already underway.
The WPT and partypoker already partnered on live events before the Coronavirus pandemic. That now has expanded even further with co-branded online series.
“Despite ongoing uncertainly with regards to live events, we can promise players a schedule packed full of WPT festivals in 2021,” partypoker managing director Tom Waters said. “We are looking forward to working with the WPT team to produce schedules of the highest quality, both live and online.”
Plenty of online partypoker/WPT events to look forward to
The COVID-19 pandemic led to the postponement of numerous WPT events and more live events could be moving online. This means even more action for players in the international online poker market.
To begin the year, the WPT Montreal Onlinewill replace the normal live series and is set to begin Jan. 10. A $2 million guaranteed Main Event is planned with satellites already available starting at $0.01.
The WPT Online Series returns to the partypoker schedule in May and World Online Championships is also back in September.
Both series debuted in 2020 and found success. The Online Series paid out more than $52 million with the three flagship events all topping the guarantees.
The World Online Championships ran from July to September earlier this year and became partypoker’s biggest series ever. That festival paid out more than $100 million.
Partypoker worked to appeal to players of all bankrolls and awarded 45,000 seats via satellites. In the $10,300 Main Event, seven of nine players at the final table qualified via satellites.
Those aren’t the only WPT plans at partypoker. The WPT500Online joins the schedule in March and the WPTDeepStacksOnline debuts in July.
Like the other events, these festivals are designed to replicate the format of a live series. That includes condensing events into a shorter schedule.
Partypoker bringing back WPT live poker to Russia and beyond
It should be a big year for WPT fans online at partypoker, but a couple live events have also been announced. WPT Russia is just the first of two live events on the schedule, with WPTDeepStacksRussia also planned for July.
Players can qualify for the $3,300 WPT Russia Main Event with a buy-in for as little as ₽3 (Russian rubles, equivalent to $0.04). There are four phases of daily satellites each week, feeding into a weekly final.
Satellite buy-ins are restricted to a maximum of ₽3,300/$43, allowing smaller bankroll players the chance to win. Winners earn a ₽300,000/$3,925 ticket and travel package to play the Main Event.
“Casino Sochi is delighted to host the WPT Russia festival again after its success in 2020,” the property’s director of poker Artur Voskanyan said.
“The casino has been thriving in the last few months, setting multiple poker records in the process, and we are sure hosting this WPT event during the winter snow season will be a roaring success.”
Russia will introduce an electronic visa border process in 2021, Voskanyan added. This is expected to make it easier for international travelers to visit the country and play in these events.
“As was the case in 2020, extensive satellite programs will be in place for all our events and it’s great to see such high entry numbers for the online satellites that are currently running for WPT Russia at Casino Sochi and the online edition of WPT Montreal,” Waters added.
“There were so many life-changing stories in 2020, and we are hopeful that 2021 will deliver even more.”
Numerous partypoker series roll on
These announcements are just the latest for partypoker. Like other online operators, the site has offered numerous festivals as prize and players pools continue to soar.
The Caribbean Poker Party is already underway and runs through Nov. 25. That series features 10 championship events and $10 million guaranteed.
The Irish Poker Masters has also been moved online this year. The series kicks offDec. 6 and the €1,100 Main Event brings a €1 million guarantee The site also wraps up the €1 million Monster Series today.
Beyond online events, Partypoker LIVE and WPT plan to grow their live event offerings around the globe in 2021.

Players with limited bankrolls looking for a shot at a nice score are in luck this month at PokerStars. MicroMillions, the site’s ultimate low-stakes tournament series, is set for Nov. 19-29 with $3.5 million guaranteed.
The festival features micro stakes events with 110 tournaments and buy-ins starting at just $1.10. The $22 Main Event serves as the series finale on Nov. 29 with $1 million guaranteed.
It should be a nice series online poker players with big poker dreams, but a low roller budget.
Some PokerStars MicroMillions highlights
MicroMillions offers a chance for players around the world to live a dream and score a PokerStars championship. The series features 31 events with a buy-in of only $1.10, all totaling $389,000 in guarantees.
Other buy-ins levels include $3.30, $5.50, and even a few micro “high rollers” for $11. Beyond the stakes and guarantees, players will find a plethora of poker game options.
Some of those include: No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, Fusion, 6+, Showtime, Razz, Eight-Game Mix, 2-7 Triple Draw, Seven Stud Hi/Lo, Badugi, and more. A few highlight from the series include:
The MicroMillions price points should be perfect for players of all levels. The series also offers players a shot to get in the Main Event action for an even smaller buy-in.
PokerStars is running special edition Main Event Spin & Go’s starting at just $0.35. That could be quite a bargain for players looking for a PokerStars championship entry. Here’s a look at the complete MicrosMillions schedule:
A busy month for PokerStars; EPT Online Main Event underway
The MicroMillions isn’t the only series set for November at PokerStars. The EPT Online is currently underway with $20 million guaranteed and 20 championship events.
Buy-ins range from $215 to $25,000 and there are also “Mini EPT” with buy-ins starting at $2.20.
On Sunday, 888poker ambassador Dominik Nitsche earned some EPT Online glory. The German poker pro topped a field of 2,833 entries in the$215 EPT Online Cup for $82,093.
The entire series wraps up on Nov. 18 and the $5,200 Main Event is currently underway. PokerStars ambassador Fintan “easywithaces” Hand led the field after the first day of play. The Irish player and Twitch streamer has pledged to donate any winnings to charity.

The inaugural Caribbean Poker Party Onlinekicks off in just a few days and partypoker has now released the full schedule. The series runs Nov. 13-25 with a $10 million guaranteed prize pool.
Players will find a total of 10 events with mini and micro versions of some tournament also in the mix. The Opener, a $1,050 progressive knockout (PKO) event, gets the series started Friday with a $500,000 guarantee.
“The Caribbean Poker Party is one of my favorite stops of the year,” Team partypoker’s Kristen Bicknell said in a news release.
“Being able to play in it online with real names is the next best thing to going there. I’m looking forward to the Main Event and hopefully getting that trophy. With all the satellite opportunities, I’m sure it’s going to have a great turnout and be a highlight event of the year.”
A look at the partypoker Main Event
The white sands and cool Caribbean waters may be missing, but there is plenty to play for in November. The $5,300 Main Event runs throughout the series, with Day 1A on Nov. 15 and 1B on Nov. 22.
Three more days of action then follow Day 1B to play to a winner. The Main Event comes with a $5 million guarantee and a trophy will also be awarded to the champion.
Players will have plenty of opportunities to qualify for the Main Event. Satellites are already running daily, feeding into two weekly mega satellite Sunday finals.
Players can buy into satellites for as little as $0.01, with the satellite finals on Nov. 15 and 22. Entries to the finals are worth $530 and 50 Main Event seats will be awarded in both finals.
Mini and micro versions also run on the same day as the Main Event itself. The $530 Mini Main Event comes with a $500,000 guarantee. The $55 Micro Main Event includes a $150,000 guarantee.
Other Caribbean Poker Party highlights
Plenty of action remains beyond the main events. Along with No Limit Hold’em during the series, players will also find some Pot Limit Omaha action as well.
“We’ve tried to put together a schedule for all bankrolls here and we have still managed to offer a great overall guarantee,” partypoker LIVE President John Duthie said. “Enjoy the series.”
The $25,500 Super High Roller is another major highlight. That tournament features a $2 million guarantee and is set for Nov. 17 and 18. The event should bring out some of the game’s players in the nosebleed stakes.
Throughout the festival, satellites are available on the day of each event for all tournaments on the schedule. That and the micro and mini offers should appeal to a wide variety of players. Just a few of the other series highlights include:
$320 Mini Pot Limit Omaha (Event 6, Nov. 10) – $30,000 guarantee
$1,050 Warm Up (Event 7, Nov. 20) – $500,000 guarantee
The Caribbean Poker Party wraps up with The Closer – a one-day PKO event on the final day of the series. The $530 buy-in tournament comes with a $150,000 guarantee. Here’s a look at the complete schedule:

The new million-euro series features plenty of No Limit Hold’em action with 116 events. Buy-ins range from €10 to €100. These price points are consistent with iPoker’s goal to cater to recreational players.
The platform will be running daily missions crediting players with tournament tokens. Customers completing missions are also rewarded with a random prize.

How do you get in the iPoker action?
iPoker remains one of the world’s largest online poker networks. On a network online poker setup, several skins are linked together with shared liquidity among them.
The iPoker platform is available in several countries. The .COM serves the international market with the .IT serving Italy and .EU serving Spain and France.
The network is owned by gaming giant PlayTech and was founded in 1999 and based in the United Kingdom. Numerous skins are part of the network and Bet365 is one of the better skins in terms of bonus offers. Other notable skins include:
Betfair
William Hill
Ladbrokes
Titan Poker
Each skin has its own player pool and unique promotions and bonus offers. iPoker garners 800-1,000 players with 24-hour peaks in the 1,500-1,600 range. The site regularly finishes among the top 10 in traffic among international poker operators.
Players on the site will find Texas Hold’em and Omaha. Low and medium bankroll players will find plenty of cash game and tournament action.
PokerScout will update this story with the .EU schedule.

The partnership between World Poker Tour and partypoker continues with the WPT Montreal now heading online in January. While a complete schedule hasn’t been released yet, the $3,200 championship features $2 million guarantee.
The two starting flights for that event are set to kick off Jan.10 and 17. WPT Montreal Online now replaces the annual live series at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada.
“The World Poker Tour and partypoker continue their thriving partnership into 2021 as we look forward to crowning another WPT champion online,” WPT CEO Adam Pliska said in a news release. “Players around the globe have shown their support of WPT Online and the continued prestige on display at our final tables.”
Shifting the Montreal poker action online
Montreal has been a regular stop for the WPT since 2012. Several major names have won titles including former WPT commentator Mike Sexton, Seth Davies, and Ema Zajmovic, the first WPT Main Event open champion.
Geoffrey Hum won the live championship in 2019 for $380,648. Zajmovic also almost made it back-to-back titles in 2018, finishing runner-up for $424,893.
Patrick Serda took that title for $668,388 and many may remember his amazing call to finish off Zajmovic.
The Playground Club closed on Oct. 4 after the Kahnawake COVID-19 Task Force raised the pandemic status from orange to red. The Canadian government has also restricted travel from the US, keeping any possible American poker players away.
The series now moves online offering players around the world a chance at some WPT glory. The Montreal event also marks the seventh WPT champion to be crowned on partypoker in Season XVIII.
As in a live event, the winner of WPT Montreal Online receives:
a seat in the WPT Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal
his or her name inscribed on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup
membership in the WPT Champions Club
Qualifiers for the event are already underway and start at $.01. A full schedule is expected to be released soon.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am about WPT Montreal being played out on partypoker,” partypoker LIVE president John Duthie said. “Playground is one of my favourite places to play on the globe and the players there are just such a great community.
“As the scene of his famous WPT victory, it was also one of Mike Sexton’s favorite stops on the tour; he’ll be with us all in spirit I’m sure.”
Series adds to a growing WPT presence online at partypoker
With WPT Montreal Online, players can expect a similar experience to the recent WPT Online Series and WPT World Online Championships. For those series, partypoker made use of:
real names at final tables
limited re-entries
numerous opportunities to qualify
The two series focused on getting players into the action, no matter the bankroll. That is expected to continue with the Montreal series.
The WPT Online World Championships were held in August and September, awarding $101 million. The series also gave out 45,000 tournament seats via qualifiers.
The WPT Online Series was held in April and May with $52 million paid out. The tour has incorporated its main brand as well as WPTDeepStacks and WPT500 in some of these series.
The operator’s partypoker US Network arm has also partnered with WPT for online events in New Jersey. These efforts now continue with WPT Montreal and the festival’s popularity in Canada should help.
Players from Toronto to Vancouver can still get in on the action via partypoker. Like these other recent events, poker fans should expect plenty of streaming coverage via the WPT Twitch channel.
“Another exceptional event for players comes to partypoker this January,” WPT Europe Vice President Hermance Blum said. “The proven success of limited re-entries and real names carries over to WPT Montreal Online and we are excited to be partnering once more with partypoker.”
The high stakes action returns to GGPoker starting on Sunday. The site’s latest High Rollers Week series is set for Nov. 8-15 with $22 million guaranteed.
The one-week festival features 20 high roller tournaments with buy-ins all the way up to $25,000. Beyond that there are even a few events with more modest buy-ins – starting at just $525.
“GGPoker is online poker’s true home for high-roller tournaments and massive prize pools – and we’ve got the Guinness World Record to prove it,” GGPoker spokesman Paul Burke said in a news release, referencing the site’s recent record-setting World Series of Poker Online Main Event.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the world’s top tournament players go for glory during High Rollers Week.”
Plenty of nosebleed action planned at GGPoker
Players with big bankrolls looking for massive payouts have plenty to look forward to in November. High Rollers Week features seven events with guarantees of more than $1 million.
That kind of action should bring out some of the game’s heavyweights. The series is capped by the $10,300 Super MILLION$ Main Event on Nov. 15.

High Rollers Week isn’t the only upcoming GG tournament series. The festival runs simultaneously with the Battle of Malta, which kicks off online Nov. 8-22.
That series features 15 ring events with a $30 million overall guarantee and a packed schedule of side events. The $550 Main Event is set for Nov. 22 and features a $5 million guarantee.
The series leaderboard offers something extra for players who really cash in. Big winners have a chance to win tournament packages for the live Battle of Malta in 2021.
Between the two series, it will be a busy month at GGPoker with action for players of every level.
Between the two series, GGPoker is guaranteeing a hefty $52 million in November’s tournament series. Satellites and qualifiers already underway.

Players dreaming of glory on PokerStars’ iconic European Poker Tour (EPT) now have an opportunity to grab some glory online. The EPT Online heads to the virtual tables Nov. 8-18 with an overall guarantee of $20 million.
PokerStars has built a schedule designed to mimic a live EPT event. That includes the series’ prestigious spade trophies for winners, live cards-up coverage, and the opportunity to be written into EPT history.
Players jumping in the action will find 20 championship events with buy-ins ranging from $215 to $25,000. However, the schedule also includes “Mini EPT” tournaments with buy-ins starting at $2.20 for players with lower bankrolls.
“The EPT is one of our most famous and well-loved poker tours and we know the EPT events have become must-plays in poker players’ calendars,” PokerStars managing director and commercial officer at, Severin Rasset said, “not only for the prestige and excitement that comes with winning a tournament of this magnitude but also for the community and camaraderie of players coming together.”
Living the real PokerStars EPT experience
The EPT was founded in 2004 and normally features tournament series at some great international stops like Barcelona and Monaco. But this year, much of the major live tournament scene remains on hold because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
PokerStars officials hope the new online version can fill some of that void. The goal is to focus on creating an EPT experience close to the real thing.
“We wanted to bring the EPT excitement and entertainment back again by recreating the live schedule for our poker community with online tables, ticket giveaways, and the opportunity to win EPT trophies,” Rasset said.
“We can’t wait to see who will be joining the famous names in the EPT history books. Good luck to all our players. Have fun and play responsibly.”
The main schedule features a total guarantee of $16.6 million. The highlight of the series is the $5,200 Main Event with a $5 million guarantee. There is also a $25,000 Super High Roller with a $2 million guarantee.
Those with lower bankrolls will also find several options including buy-ins of $215, $530, and $1,050. Players will also find various poker variations and game options. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.
