Reviews of the Best Omaha Poker Sites November 2024

Not sure where to play PLO poker online? Then check out the following reviews compiled by our team of experts.

The PokerScout Editorial Process is strictly adhered to, meaning you’ll only receive 100% factually correct information and only be directed to websites that are safe and reliable.

1. CoinPoker – Best Overall Omaha Poker Site

Poker Network License Payments Accepted
Independent Curaçao eGaming USDT, CHP, BTC, ETH, SOL, MATIC
Coin Poker lobby
  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – Fantastic high-limit Texas Hold’em games as well  Omaha cash tables. Top pros like Tony G and JNandez regularly appear on CoinPoker and there’s plenty of low-stakes games for us mere mortals.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – Buy-ins start from just a single penny and CoinPoker is amazing for micro-stakes players as it features some of the cheapest tournament entry fees online. Weekend events boast guarantees well into the six figures.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – As it’s one of the best PLO poker sites, CoinPoker isn’t the softest. However, the client will always have a healthy number of players to compete with.
  • Software Quality 10/10 – Whether you play on mobile or desktop, CoinPoker is feature-rich and extremely user-friendly.
  • Mobile Friendliness 10/10 – The Android app is very visually appealing and is quite pleasant to play on.
  • Bonuses 10/10 – With an incredible 33% rakeback available to all CoinPoker players and unbelievably big welcome bonuses, CoinPoker has cemented itself as one of the best PLO poker sites.

Our number one pick for playing Omaha poker online in the United States has to be CoinPoker. The headline deal is undoubtedly the 33% rakeback available to all players, whether you’re grinding the Omaha cash tables or playing Hold’em tournaments. But there’s plenty more to this site than just rewarding bonuses.

For example, the CoinPoker software is extremely user-friendly and looks stylish to boot. Whether you’re using the desktop client or the Android app, you’ll have no problems finding the games you need, as both are highly intuitive.

CoinPoker is a cryptocurrency site with six different payment options, including its own unique coin called CHP (Chips). These facilitate secure and fast payments, especially withdrawals, which you’ll often receive within a day.

Finally, a word for the Omaha cash tables. You can enjoy traditional PLO and Five Card Omaha games at all kinds of betting limits. The lowest-stakes tables are $0.01 / $0.02, topping out at the $200 / $400 nosebleeds. Expect to see poker legend Tony G at these now and then.

2. BetOnline – Softest Omaha Poker Cash Tables Online

Poker Network License Payments Accepted
Chico Poker Panama Gaming Commission BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, BCH, DOGE, 10x more crypto coins, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express
BetOnline poker
  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – Despite the unfortunate lack of stud games, BetOnline’s Hold’em and Omaha games are stocked and come in all sorts of variants.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – It’s hard to compete with the millions of dollars in guaranteed prize pools each month on such a soft site. The highlight is, without a doubt, the $100,000 Sunday Showdown.
  • Traffic and Player Base 10/10 – The Chico Poker network has been around forever, ensuring plenty of opposition in tournament and cash-game fields. Soft games due to the high volume of sports betting players makes it one of the best PLO poker sites.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – No disk space? No problem! BetOnline Poker can be played from the native browser. While it’s convenient, the quality is quite simple.
  • Mobile Friendliness 9/10 – With no apps, you have to play from the mobile web browser. Thankfully, it’s easy to use and the play is very smooth.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – The newly-minted RISE program allows players to earn up to 25% rakeback. The welcome bonuses are quite juicy as well.

BetOnline is our second favorite spot at which to play PLO poker online. Although you can deposit and withdraw using more traditional methods, it’s another site with a cryptocurrency focus.

There are 16 different crypto options, including BTC, ETH and USDT. We’re not aware of any US poker room that pays quicker, with crypto withdrawals usually processed in less than half a day.

Another interesting feature of BetOnline is the ability to play instantly, without needing to download software. Simply register an account, deposit, and select a tournament or cash table from the menu. Immediately, you’ll be whisked straight off to play, all within the browser window.

BetOnline has become known for its soft Hold’em tables, due to all of the sports bettors coming to dabble with online poker. This is also true of Omaha – perhaps even more so, given that fewer people play the game at a good level. So, if you’re looking for beatable cash tables, BetOnline is the place to be.

3. Bovada – Super-Fast Cryptocurrency Withdrawals

Poker Network License Payments Accepted
PaiWangLuo Curaçao eGaming BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, BCH, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Voucher
Play Omaha poker online instantly without downloads at Bovada
Bovada Poker
  • Poker Games Variety 9/10 – Hold’em and Omaha, including Hi/Lo, is available at all stakes. No Stud variants, unfortunately.
  • Poker Tournaments 9/10 – Low-to-medium stakes players will feel right at home with $200,000 guaranteed every Sunday and a maximum buy-in of just $300.
  • Traffic and Player Base 10/10 – As with BetOnline, Bovada Poker is on a reliable network that’s shared with a sportsbook, ensuring softer and larger fields than usual.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – While Bovada Poker lacks in features, it’s effective and efficient. They deliver a standard bug-free poker experience.
  • Mobile Friendliness 9/10 – Like BetOnline, Bovada Poker lacks a native app. Yet, you can play from Bovada’s mobile web browser quite easily.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – While the welcome bonus is a bit disappointing, the loyalty program and healthy referral bonuses more than make up for it.

Bovada has a similar look-and-feel to BetOnline, despite the two sites being linked to different networks. It’s another online poker room that offers soft Omaha poker games, due to the sheer volume of sports bettors with accounts.

Although it offers fewer cryptocurrency payment methods than most, with just five in the cashier, Bovada is another extremely fast-paying poker site. Use the likes of BTC, BCH and LTC and you’re more than likely to receive your withdrawal within the same day.

Similar to BetOnline, it’s possible to play Omaha poker online without needing any specialist software. Although the graphics aren’t exactly cutting-edge, playing this way is really convenient and saves on device storage and data usage.

Not only can you play real money games from a browser window, but Bovada also offers free Omaha poker tables. This is a great way to familiarize yourself with the rules, if you’re new to the game.

4. ACR Poker – Home to the Biggest Omaha Poker Tournaments Online

Poker Network License Payments Accepted
Winning Poker Network (WPN) Curaçao eGaming BTC, LTC, ETH, USDT, P2P, MoneyGram
Playing Omaha Hi-Lo poker online with the ACR Poker Android app
ACR Poker
  • Poker Games Variety 10/10 – ACR Poker has started to add more Hold’em and Omaha variants, including PLO5. They toss in the occasional Stud and Stud8 tournaments as well and host Stud cash games.
  • Poker Tournaments 10/10 – Some of the biggest guarantees in the poker world, with some reaching eight figures. Tournaments come in all shapes and sizes, like multi-day Mystery Bounties and PKOs.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – WPN sites will always boast a high amount of traffic from all over the world. However, these sites will be much more reg-heavy than average, since WPN has been around for over two decades.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – While a poker site is a poker site, ACR Poker’s animations are second-to-none. The site is fully customizable and you’ll be able to use your HUD and poker tracking software while you play.
  • Mobile Friendliness 8/10 – The Android app is one of the best in the poker world. Unfortunately, ACR Poker has yet to arrive on iOS devices.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – ACR Poker offers a generous 27% rakeback deal, although the Elite Benefits program would be tough to toss aside if you’re a true grinder.

Part of the long-running Winning Poker network, ACR Poker (formerly Americas Cardroom) has an excellent reputation. Home to the famous Venom tournaments, players can enjoy multi-million dollar guarantees, including a $2 million Omaha event.

The desktop software is some of the most feature-rich around, but it’s also stacked with real money cash tables and tournaments. You can enjoy Omaha, Five Card Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo with Fixed, Pot and No Limit structures. Don’t miss the Blitz Poker tables, either – this ACR Poker’s fast-fold format.

On top of that, ACR Poker hosts around a dozen freerolls every week, including several PLO 6-max events. These provide newbies with the perfect opportunity to learn how to play Pot Limit Omaha online while also piecing a bankroll together.

The ACR Poker Android app is excellent, but, unfortunately, there’s no iOS equivalent. That’s something we’d love to see arrive in future.

5. Black Chip Poker – Best Online Site for Five-Card Omaha

Poker Network License Payments Accepted
Winning Poker Network (WPN) Curaçao eGaming BTC, LTC, ETH, USDT, P2P, MoneyGram
Black Chip Poker
Black Chip Poker
  • Poker Games Variety 10/10 – The top site in the United States for Seven-Card Stud fans. In fact, there are plenty of Stud8 tables to play on as well.
  • Poker Tournaments 10/10 – ACR Poker has solidified itself as one of the best PLO poker sites thanks to their groundbreaking $1.5 Million PLO PKO Venom. Texas Hold’em tournaments can boast incredible eight-figure guarantees.
  • Traffic and Player Base 9/10 – As is the case with any site on the Winning Poker Network, there will be plenty of busy tables full of very good players. Watch out for the sharks.
  • Software Quality 9/10 – Feature-rich yet relatively simple. The lobby is quite easy to navigate and customize to your own liking.
  • Mobile Friendliness 8/10 – The Android app is one of the best in the entire poker world. Unfortunately, this same experience has yet to hit Apple devices.
  • Bonuses 9/10 – The joint-biggest welcome bonus offered by any legit US poker site. The Elite Benefits are the nuts if you’re a grinder. If not, you can opt out and take down 27% rakeback.

Our final recommendation, Black Chip Poker, is another site that accepts US players and permits cryptocurrency payments. Fund your account from as little as $10 using BTC, LTC, USDT, ETH, as well as the Luxon e-wallet. Withdrawals are generally processed within a maximum of 48 hours.

A sister site of ACR Poker, this Curaçao-licensed brand also boasts one of the most sleek Android apps in town. But, like its fellow WPN brand, there’s no iOS software available at the moment.

Still, it’s an excellent place to play Omaha poker online, with busy cash tables available for all bankrolls. Aside from PLO, it’s also possible to sit in Fixed and No-Limit games. Plus, the PLO5 and PLO8 tables are some of the busiest in the country.

Look out for the $50,000 Guaranteed PLO 6-Max that takes place every Sunday. Not to mention the regular Online Super Series (OSS) and Venom tournaments, with their enormous guaranteed prize pools.

Most Popular Omaha Poker Games

There are actually several forms of Omaha poker, all of which are equally fascinating. Let’s take a closer look and learn more about these games.

Pot Limit Omaha (PLO)

If someone is talking about playing Omaha poker online, they’re most probably referring to PLO. It’s the second most popular form of poker behind Texas Hold’em and the two games are closely related.

Omaha uses the same structure as Hold’em, with an initial pre-flop betting round that requires two forced bets – the small and big blinds. Three community cards are then dealt, followed by the turn and river cards, with an extra betting round after each.

The key difference is that Omaha players receive four cards each. When forming your five-card poker hand, you must use exactly two from your own hole cards and exactly three of the community cards.

As the name suggests, PLO features a Pot Limit structure. This interesting setup ensures that pot sizes can’t get out of hand early on. Towards the end of a hand, though, you could easily find yourself with most, if not all of your chips at risk.

PLO Eight or Better (PLO8)

Omaha Eight or Better, often called Omaha Hi-Lo or PLO8, uses the same basic rules but splits every pot in two. One half of the pot is reserved for the strongest hand, exactly as usual. However, there’s a second half of the pot potentially up for grabs, awarded to whoever has the best qualifying “low”.

A low hand is any hand from five to eight-high, and straights and flushes won’t count against you. That’s why A-2-3-4-5 is the best possible low – it’s treated as five-high, not a straight.

If the board is made up of high cards – nine or bigger – it might not be possible to make a low. If that’s the case, the best high hand takes the entire pot.

PLO8 is available at all of the best Omaha poker sites. It’s a very strategic game that requires you to think more carefully about your hand selection. It offers more opportunities to pick up smaller pots, but it’s also a high variance game.

Five Card Omaha (PLO5)

In recent years, this particular PLO poker variant has become extremely popular, especially in Latin American circles. It uses the exact same set up as Pot Limit Omaha except players are dealt five cards per hand, rather than the traditional four.

This additional card increases the number of possible hand combinations. Although that makes it more likely you’ll stumble onto a good hand, the same is also true for your opponents. As such, you’ll need to be extremely disciplined in your PLO5 hand selection.

You’ll find PLO5 at all of our recommended PLO poker sites, including the CoinPoker app, ACR Poker, and Black Chip Poker.

Six Card Omaha (PLO6)

Similar to PLO5, this is a variant of traditional PLO that involves two extra cards in your starting hand, rather than one. The sheer number of potential hand permutations is massive as a result, leading to a more chaotic and action-packed game as a result.

Although PLO5 has actually become a pretty serious Omaha poker game, available at many leading poker sites, PLO6 is more commonly played among friends. It’s a bit of fun, appreciated by action junkies looking to kill time between more serious endeavors.

No Limit Omaha (NLO)

What if you could play PLO without the betting restrictions? Welcome to No Limit Omaha, where players are free to bet as much as they have in front of them, at any time.

Much like No Limit Hold’em, it requires nerves of steel to play NLO. Putting all of your chips on the line is brave, even if you’ve a good chance of winning. But to do so on a bluff – especially in a game like Omaha, where so many hands are always possible – is extremely risky.

This makes for a more psychological game than Fixed or Pot Limit Omaha, where it’s much harder to be bullied off the best hand. Some sites in the US don’t even offer NLO games, as it’s not the most popular way to play Omaha poker online.

Some online poker sites have a PLO-NLO hybrid game that’s beginning to rise in popularity, where it’s PLO preflop and NLO postflop.

Fixed Limit Omaha (FLO)

Since Omaha is quite a volatile game, many players prefer to adopt a Fixed Limit betting structure. Unlike big bet games, it’s much harder to lose large sums of money playing this way. So, if you’re looking to reduce swings, FLO might be the game for you.

For the first two betting rounds, FLO players are limited to betting and raising only by the size of the designated Small Bet. On the turn and river, this limit increases to the size of the Big Bet, which is usually double. For example, a $1 / $2 FLO game indicates a Small Bet of $1 and a Big Bet of $2.

Additionally, you can’t have more than four bets per round. If Player A leads, Player B raises, Player C 3-bets and Player A raises one again, the betting is capped. Other players can still call, naturally. But they’re not allowed to raise any further. The only exception is when you’re heads-up on the river, where it’s possible to raise as many times as you wish.

Unlike NLO, all of the best Omaha poker sites offer Fixed Limit Omaha games. Behind PLO, it’s the next most common way to play Omaha poker.

Pineapple

Although Pineapple isn’t strictly a variant of Omaha poker, it’s certainly worth a mention due to the similarities.

Instead of starting with four cards each, Pineapple players receive just three. The betting structure and rules are essentially the same, with one key difference. After the flop is dealt, each remaining player will muck just one of their cards. The rest of the hand then plays out like a game of Texas Hold’em.

It’s a light-hearted game that’s often played among friends in Dealer’s Choice games. Sadly, you won’t see it online too often anymore.

Irish Poker

Much like Pineapple, “Irish” combines elements of Hold’em and Omaha to make a fun new game.

To begin with, the setup is identical to that of Omaha, with each player receiving four cards. Two players pay blinds as usual, before a round of betting.

However, just like in a game of Pineapple, every remaining player must reduce their hand to two. You’ll muck half of their chosen hole cards on the flop. From that point, Irish plays out the same way as a standard game of Hold’em.

Available Bonuses at Omaha Poker Sites

Now it’s time to look at the various bonuses and promotions found at the best Omaha poker sites. Keep your eyes peeled for these potentially lucrative offers and be sure to cash in.

Welcome Bonus

Whenever you sign up to play Omaha poker online, there should always be some kind of reward. With so many different sites, brands understand just how competitive the industry is. Which is exactly why they try to catch our attention with a welcome bonus.

The most common signup offer is a deposit bonus, which we’ll explain shortly. But it’s also possible to receive free tournament entry tickets, or even a no-deposit bonus. Regardless of the specific welcome bonus type, it’s reserved exclusively for new registrants.

Match Deposit Bonus

This type of bonus is linked to a real money deposit. Your exact reward is dictated by the amount of cash added to your account. The Bovada online poker room, for instance, awards all first-time depositors a 100% bonus worth up to $500.

A figure of $150 would, therefore, result in a $150 bonus. However, this won’t be a lump sum – you’ll need to play games like Pot Limit Omaha to release it. For every 150 Reward Points earned, you’ll unlock $5 of the welcome bonus.

Although this type of promotion is commonly used as a welcome bonus, some sites also offer match deposit reload bonuses.

No Deposit Bonus

This type of promotion is becoming harder to find, as it really does offer you the chance to win something for nothing. Simply create your new account, log in, and start playing using the free bonus funds.

Any winnings from a no deposit promo are usually paid back to your bonus wallet, rather than as real money. In that case, wagering requirements will apply before you’re able to withdraw.

However, there are also wager-free no deposit bonuses, meaning no strings attached.

Rakeback

This is essentially a percentage refund of the rake and tournament entry fees paid at a site within a specific timeframe. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing Pot Limit Omaha or Seven-Card Stud – if you pay rake, you’ll get a rebate.

In the past, it was possible to secure rakeback arrangements via third-party affiliate sites. If you signed up with a poker room, the referring party would earn a commission on your rake, which they would share with you.

These days, many online poker sites just cut out the middleman, offering direct rakeback deals. Think of it as a loyalty bonus. CoinPoker is by far the best in this area, offering all players the chance to earn a 33% rakeback rebate.

Tournament Tickets

Although it’s not especially common, some poker rooms give players free access to tournaments. We’re not talking about freerolls, in which nobody pays to enter, either. We’re talking about real tournaments where you can make real money.

Take BetOnline Poker, for instance. As part of the new player welcome package, you’ll receive up to 21 free entries to step satellite tournaments.

Unlock them by paying a few cents in rake each day, and win your way into the $100,000 Sunday Showdown completely free.

Refer-a-Friend

Do you have buddies that also love to play Omaha poker online? Encourage them to register at your chosen site and there’s often a reward in it for you.

ACR Poker is just one example of many brands that pay real money rewards if you take the time to recruit a friend. They pay $50 for each referral, but make sure the registration takes place using your unique code, or you won’t get the credit.

Like most poker bonuses, friend referral rewards are usually released in increments. At ACR Poker, for instance, you’ll earn $5 of your $50 bonus for every 120 Award Points collected.

Reload Bonus

Although this is more commonly associated with online casinos, some poker rooms do thank players for topping up their accounts by issuing a bonus.

The offer is usually a deposit match bonus, just with a smaller percentage reward than you’d get as a new registrant. Figures in the region of 25% to 75% aren’t unheard of.

Make sure you check the terms and conditions, as there’s normally a minimum deposit requirement in order to qualify for a reload bonus.

VIP Rewards

Leading poker sites provide regular players with loyalty points, which can be traded in for real money rewards. There’s often a tier structure in place, too, so the more points you accumulate, the higher you’ll rise through the ranks.

The Ignition poker room, for example, uses what it calls “Ignition Miles”. You can cash 2,500 of these in for a US dollar, with no wagering requirements attached.

In addition, the site runs regular freerolls with $2,500 prizepools, which are exclusively reserved for players who’ve attained a certain loyalty level.

Payment Options for Playing Omaha Poker Online

You can’t play Pot Limit Omaha online without a way to add funds to your account. What’s more, if you win, you’re going to want to get your hands on that cash right away.

In this section of our guide to Omaha, we’ll discuss the most common deposit and withdrawal methods.

Cards

Debit and credit cards are the most popular way to fund your Omaha poker game online, though they’re not necessarily the best option.

Cards are definitely among the most secure ways to deposit and withdraw, considering the long history of brands like Mastercard and Visa. However, given that it can take up to a week to receive a withdrawal, there are certainly quicker payment methods around.

Cryptocurrency

One such example is cryptocurrency. All of our featured brands offer at least four major tokens: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and Litecoin. But many offer dozens of possible options, all of which offer an additional layer of anonymity compared to most payment methods.

Best of all, though, cryptocurrency withdrawals from the leading Omaha poker rooms rarely take longer than 48 hours. Sites like BetOnline process your payment requests in less than a couple of hours, meaning you’re almost certain to receive a same-day withdrawal.

E-Wallets

Payment processors like Neteller and Skrill (formerly Moneybookers) have been processing online gambling transactions for around a quarter of a century. But newer brands, like Luxon Pay, are just as reliable.

E-Wallets provide a secure and convenient place to store your Omaha poker bankroll online. Payments are usually free, deposits are near-instant and withdrawals are almost always completed in under 48 hours.

Other Payment Methods

Depending on your chosen site, you might also encounter the following payment methods:

  • Vouchers. The likes of Neosurf allow you to fund your account either with a physical or online voucher.
  • Prepaid cards. Powered by reputable names like Visa and Mastercard, these offer a more responsible way to gamble, plus additional protection from theft.
  • Player-to-Player (P2P). If you already know someone using the site, it’s normally possible to have them transfer funds directly to your account.

Best Omaha Poker Site – Our Verdict

Whether you’re completely new to playing Omaha poker online, or a veteran of many years, CoinPoker is definitely worth a look. Here’s why.

  • Incredible Direct Rakeback Deal – As long as you use the site’s proprietary cryptocurrency token (CHP) to play, you’ll earn 33% rakeback.
  • Fast and Secure Payment Processing – With a number of different crypto options, CoinPoker offers some of the quickest withdrawals online.
  • Stakes to Suit All Bankrolls – Rail the highest stakes Omaha games, frequented by the likes of Tony G, or grind the $0.01 / $0.02 tables.

Conclusion

Playing Omaha poker online is quite different to Hold’em. It offers a unique challenge, despite the game’s structural similarities, with higher levels of variance and, quite often, more action.

While Pot Limit Omaha is the most popular form of the game, there are plenty of interesting variants to get your teeth into. Whether you’re looking to take a break from Hold’em, or master an entirely new format, Omaha will always be an excellent choice.
