Major online poker series continue rolling out lately with PartyPoker now the latest to announce a major series coming to players around the world. MILLIONS Online is the company’s most prestigious series of the year and is just two weeks away.
The series is set for Sept. 1-27 and players can expect a wide variety of tournament formats including six-max, seven-max, eight-max, progressive knockouts (PKO), and more.
The first weekend of action includes the first Main Event starting flight on Sept. 4. The $3,200 buy-in event includes a $2 million guaranteed prize pool.
“I’m really excited for MILLIONS Online,” PartyPoker ambassador Patrick Leonard said in a news release. “Last time out, I made the Main Event final table and was gutted to be eliminated after coming so far. The quality structure and amazing satellite system makes this a must-play series. I can’t wait.”
PartyPoker MILLIONS Online highlights
MILLIONS Online offers players yet another major tournament series running during September. The schedule includes buy-ins for every level of player.
Several starting flights are available for Main Event players, running on all four Sundays of the series. Two further flights are planned for Sept. 26 with Day 2 getting underway on the same day.
A champion is crowned on Day 3, the final day of the series. Argentina’s Ramiro Petrone took the top spot last year, scoring a payday of $859,018.
The $1,575 Opener PKO kicks off the series with a $250,000 guarantee. Those with lower bankrolls can also check out the $162 Mini Opener PKO with a $100,000 guarantee.
Also, the $320 Mini Main Event runs alongside the Main Event with $500,000 guaranteed. Other highlights include the $530 Super 500, promising a guarantee of $500,000. The $109 Super 100 comes with a $300,000 guarantee. PKO versions of both tournaments will also be available.
Even more PKO action is planned for the final week of the series. For those new to PKOs, these events feature a player winning only a portion of a bounty when eliminating another player. The other portion is added to the winning player’s bounty, making bounties worth more later in the tournament.
The $1,575 Closer PKO offers a $300,000 guarantee and the $162 Mini Closer guarantees $100,000. The Grand, with a buy-in of $1,050, is set for Sundays during the series with a $150,000 guarantee.
Poker fans around the world can check out the series as well. PartyPokerTV will stream all the final table action live on Twitch and YouTube .
Numerous qualifying opportunities planned
As in other series, PartyPoker is once again offering qualifying opportunities for players of all bankroll levels. Main Event satellites begin at just a single cent, with centrolls leading to a feeder satellite worth $3.30.
Players making it through can join the $22 Phase 1 event and then the $109 Phase 2. Those qualifiers then move into the weekly Satellite Final, with no direct buy-in and 10 Main Event seats available. Satellite Finals are scheduled every Sunday through Sept. 25.
Party has found several success stories via the qualifying tree recently. In 2021, Gareth “Gaz the Hippy” Smirthwaite and Vitaly Polikarpov both won their way into the Main Event through the centroll phase.
Throughout the series, players will find special SPINS events awarding Main Event seats. Here’s a look at the main schedule, but there are also numerous other side tournaments throughout the event as well.
