Doug Polk, who has been in the midst of his $100K HU Challenge, is also involved with a shakeup at his poker club. He will have new business partners joining his ownership of the Lodge Card Club in Round Rock, Texas.
The Lodge official X account announced that popular poker players and personalities Ethan “Rampage” Yu and Nik “Airball” Arcot will be added to the ownership team. They will both be investors and join Polk alongside Brad Owen and Andrew Neeme.
In a press release the Lodge made the following statement:
The Lodge Card Club is excited to announce the addition of two well-known poker personalities as investors: Ethan “Rampage” Yau and Nikhil “Nik Airball” Arcot.
Ethan has built a massive following on YouTube, documenting his journey from low-stakes grinder to high-stakes pro. Over the past seven years, he has amassed 323,000 subscribers who get a first-person view of his life on the felt.
Nik is a high-stakes poker regular known for competing in some of the most-watched televised cash games. His resume includes appearances on Poker at the Lodge, Hustler Casino Live, and PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker, where his style of play and table presence have made him a fan favorite.
Their involvement represents an exciting step forward for the Lodge as we continue to expand our reach and grow the club’s presence in the poker world. With their backing—both financially and in influence—we are further positioning the Lodge as a premier destination for poker players.
Polk released a video on his Youtube channel where he discussed the new investors. The Lodge has long been a premier place for exciting cash game poker streams with exciting clashes between big names.
In the case of “Rampage”, Polk pointed to Yau’s ability to relate and connect to players of all types and how it could translate to bringing more traffic to the Lodge. Yau is always active in poker and even beyond at times.
Arcot’s involvement is a bit more controversial as he has been a polarizing character in the game of poker for a while now. Polk addressed that directly saying that poker needs its heels and that Airball is a net positive for poker. In his eyes, a positive direction for the Lodge.
These two new investors are certainly sure to bring even more attention to the Lodge as it already one of the most popular places in the USA to play poker with constant big happenings coming from the wild Texas poker streets.
