After launching a new rewards program in April, partypoker announced Thursday that the program is now expanding to the international site on June 20.
Company officials said the program will more than double the percentage of players winning cashback. That now includes players receiving more cash for less rake.
“Our new cashback program aims to pay vastly more players than today, while also ensuring our loyal grinders are catered for,” partypoker director Vadim Soloveychik said in a news release.
“By giving casual and leisure players more rewards, we believe they will become more loyal customers and help us deliver a more recreational-focused poker network, which is good for all players.”
More players getting money back at partypoker
After the initial announcement, the company is now expanding to all platforms, excluding US sites (in which the company partners with MGM Resorts).
Players will find a new points structure rewarding different game types at different earn rates. Points can be earned by playing:
- cash games
- tournaments
- SPINS
- Fastforward
- sit & go tournaments
By redesigning cashback opportunities, partypoker significantly extends the percentage of players earning cashback each week. The company now hopes the expansion ensures recreational players also receive some extra cash for their play.
Players of all levels will now receive rewards on a regular basis, the company notes. Partypoker expects more than 50% of all players will soon receive some cashback weekly.
“This is a huge boost from the current cashback program, where around 20% of players receive cashback every week,” partypoker notes in announcing the plan.
Lower rake threshold & a new points system
With the new plan, partypoker is lowering the amount of rake needed to start receiving cashback. That is currently set at $25, but partypoker is now reducing that to as low as $1.50. This is expected to bring thousands more players into the scheme.
All poker play will be rewarded, with up to 55% weekly cashback up for grabs. Today’s cashback program rewards only one cashback point per $1 raked.
The new plan features variable rates of points per $1, with fastforward poker generating up to four points per $1. Party will release a full breakdown of points per rake by game type later this month.
The new minimum points threshold is just 10 points, earning players $0.50 in cashback at that point. Additionally, new players see a 70% boost to their points as part of a welcome package. That comes out to 6.8 points per $1 raked on fastforward games (four points boosted by 70%). This means they start to receive cashback from just $1.50 in rake.
Not just new players receive boosts and the company promises regular promotions for all players. All receive boost resets every Monday, with a new weekly boost level applying for the whole week.
Party initially planned to launch the cashback program in France and Spain. However, the company changed and these markets should go live with the program this fall. The Italian version will also launch later this year.
Nice boost for SPINS Diamond Club
Along with the cashback expansion, Diamond Club players will also have a new rewards program. Upon launch of the new cashback program, partypoker’s SPINS and SPINS Ultra players have a new option.
These players can opt out of the program and join the new SPINS Diamond Club. Those considering their options regarding this program are asked to email [email protected].
