Several qualifying options and freerolls planned
PokerStars players can get in the SCOOP Afterparty action for free through daily freerolls. These award $250,000 worth of tournament tickets and run through May 17.
The annual SCOOP awarded more than $139 million to PokerStars players, exceeding the original $100 million guarantee. The series attracted more than 1.7 million entries across 102 events featuring Low, Medium, and High buy-in levels.
Player score $1 million via Spin & Go
Jackpot-style Spin & Go events have become extremely popular among online poker players in recent years. Players take a seat in these short-handed winner-take-all tournaments and the prize is determined randomly.
Players can double their money or win a much bigger prize depending on the prize that comes up. Last week at PokerStars, one lucky player hit it big.
A player named “tagil94” took down a $10 Spin & Go that lasted 10 minutes, taking home $1 million.
The other two players didn’t walk away empty handed. “RayMcCoy2019” and “brusli82” each added $100,000 for their efforts.
This marked the third time in 2021 a player has won the $1 million top prize. However, this was awarded at a much lower buy-in than the first two, which came in $100 and €100 events. For tagil94, it certainly paid to play.
