PokerStars continues rolling out more Platinum Pass opportunities for players around the world. With the European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona stop just around the corner, the company announced Friday that even more passes are on the line.
The series runs Aug. 8-21 and Stars is now putting three coveted $30,000 Platinum Passes up for grabs. These prizes include a complete travel package, including a $25,000 tournament buy-in, for the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) in the Bahamas next year.
A trio of PokerStars Platinum Passes on the line
The competition for a pass begins on Aug. 17 with a €3,000 EPT Platinum Pass Mystery Bounty. One lucky player will take home a Platinum Pass as the ultimate bounty prize. Bounties begin on Day 2, with the event running until Aug. 19.
A second Platinum Pass is awarded as a continuation of PokerStars’ International Women’s Day activities, which began in 2020. As part of the promotion, inspirational female poker players from around the world or those who’ve made an impact on the community were nominated to win a Platinum Pass.
Following the nominations, eight finalists were to head to Barcelona to play live for the pass. When the event was canceled due to the COVID pandemic, that was delayed. The battle for the pass now takes place on Aug. 15.
The winner of the event takes home a pass. Stars is also making the tournament available for players around the world to check out. The company will stream the action live across its social media channels including Twitch.
One more opportunity for platinum
Players are in store for one more opportunity to win a pass. The Poker Pro Masters (PPM) 2022 champion will be crowned on Aug. 9 with the winner receiving a Platinum Pass.
PokerStars ambassador Ramon Colillas, the reigning PPM and PSPC champion, will award the champion with the big prize. Each Platinum Pass is worth more than $30,000 and includes:
- $25,000 buy-in to PSPC 2023 in the Bahamas
- six nights’ hotel accommodations for winner and a guest
- airfare and airport transfers
- PSPC merchandise
- $1,900 in travel expenses
- exclusive Platinum Pass winner experiences during the event.
