What is Adjarabet?

Adjarabet is a website from the Eastern European country of Georgia that offers online poker and gambling. They do this independently. Originally, they ran on the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), but that shut down in 2020 which led to Adjarebet finding a new home – and thriving.

As well as owning the website, which has been registered since 2001, they also manage multiple real casinos and hotels in the country. Although they can’t realistically compete with the best online poker rooms, it has emerged as a top choice in Georgia.

Adjarabet was established way back in 1998, and is licensed and regulated by the government of Georgia, holding a corresponding gaming licence. Players from Georgia who like to bet can find their options limited compared to those from more populous countries, as it can be hard to find casinos and websites that accept the Georgian national currency – the lari.

However, Adjarabet does accept deposits in its local currency, adding to its popularity among nationals. In addition to Georgian, the website is available in both English and Russian, making it accessible across all three languages.

The website is well-designed and user friendly, with vivid graphics, colorful promotions and an array of alluring slots and casino games. Sports betting is the most prominent feature of the site: Users are offered the chance to gamble on a wide range of sports from across Europe and America, with a particular focus on soccer.

The site maintains an active social media presence, with support offered to players in the form of a dedicated contact email and a Georgia-based phone number.

Is Adjarabet Still Running Today?

Over the years, Adjarabet have become market leaders in Georgia for poker, sports games, skill games and online casino games. Since around 2013, Adjarabet have begun to attract more and more international players.

Since the sportsbook is its most active feature, their online poker games haven’t historically received high levels of traffic. Adjarabet is currently home to around 700 active ring-game players, with players at peak times at around the 400 mark, and 200 or so in gameplay on average.

The majority of these players participate in cash games, so if you’re looking to improve your poker strategy in multi-table tournaments (MTTs), Adjarabet is not your best choice.

Adjarabet has plenty of promotions, although these are geared more towards sports betting and other casino games. For example, amongst the various tournaments on offer, you might find a backgammon event with a six-figure prize pool.

Upon sign-up, you’ll receive an initial 100% match bonus on your first deposit – but only up to the equivalent of $20. This can only be unlocked when enrolling in a game or tournament – of which there are limited options for poker enthusiasts.

Adjarabet Weak Points

Unusually, Adjarabet poker does not offer any rakeback or cashback, even though most of the best online poker rooms do – some offer a bonus match of up to $1,500 and a rakeback deal of 33%, for example.

While the Adjarabet platforms are satisfactory for poker beginners’ games featuring micro stakes, if you want a more lucrative prize pool, this is not the poker site for you.

Despite its user-friendly interface and dedicated support team, some users have complained of long waits for withdrawals and payouts. This is mainly due to extensive ID checks that are in place.

Very small bonuses, a lack of rakeback and a lengthy withdrawal process means that Adjarabet is not the most attractive poker site available.
