There seems to be no slowing down for Global Poker. Fresh off huge GOAT and Summer Series, the Micro Thunder Series is next.
The festival runs Sept. 6-13 with tiny buy-ins leading to thunderous prizes. That includes guarantees of 50,000 in Sweeps Coins (which can be exchanged for real cash) and 15 million in Gold Cons (the site’s virtual currency).

When players head to the virtual tables, they’ll find eight days of poker fun. That includes 25 Sweeps Coin and 24 Gold Coin events.

Aside from the guaranteed prize pools, Global Poker wIll also be awarding limited-edition merchandise to winners. Gold Coin event winners will also receive a trophy.
Storm of winnings in Gods of Thunder
Global Poker is adding something extra for players who just reach a Micro Thunder final table. All of these players, whether in a Sweeps Coin or Gold Coin event, will receive a limited-edition Micro Thunder pin.
The extras don’t stop there however. All these final table players will also have a chance to enter the Gods of Thunder event on Sept. 20.
There will be a Gods of Thunder tournament for Sweeps Coin and Gold Coin players. These events offer a chance at even more prizes and limited-edition merchandise.
The Sweeps Coin winner takes home an SC218 tournament entry with other tickets also awarded. Beyond the tournament tickets up for grabs, Sweeps Coin Gods of Thunder players also receive:

- Final table players earn a “God of Thunder” T-shirt.
Gold Coin Gods of Thunder players also have a shot to win the following:

Something special for Labor Day
American poker players off work for Labor Day also have something extra to look forward to. Along with the Micro Thunder action, the site is launching a Labor Day Special on Monday.
This deepstack event features an SC110 buy-in and SC15,000 guarantee. Satellites are running all weekend and on Monday as well.
There should be quite a bit of action for players in September.
