GGPoker Says ‘Cheers’ With New Rewards Promotion Promising Daily $100,000 Freerolls

GGPoker is bringing players a bit of good fortune as part of the new GGCheers promotion which features $100,000 on the line each day.

GGPoker is bringing players a bit of good fortune as part of the new GGCheers promotion. The program aims to reward players who win big hands or big pots – with an extra $100,000 on the line each day.

“GGCare broke the mold in terms of rewarding players that encounter painful bad beats and other unfortunate situations at the table,” GG ambassador Daniel Negreanu said in a news release.

“GGCheers goes even further – take down a massive hand and we’ll celebrate with you by handing over an entry for the next Daily $100,000 flipout freeroll.”

How does GGCheers work?

Online players looking to take advantage of the new program simply have to play on the site beginning Sept. 13. Those with qualifying hands are automatically awarded a ticket to the following day’s Daily $100,000 #ThanksGG Flipout freeroll tournament.

The tournament features  players on opposite ends of bad luck. The lucky players will sit alongside players who snagged tickets via the GGCare feature.

GGCare takes the sting out of bad beats, coolers, and suckouts. The program awards these players with a tournament entry as well.

GGCheers now joins GGCare

The size of each qualifying players’ stack in the freeroll depends on how lucky (GGCheers) or unlucky (GGCare) the player was. The site’s custom algorithm determines this based on the player’s qualifying hand.

The exact conditions triggering eligible hands vary by game. The site continuously optimizes GGCheers and GGCare to cover as many relevant scenarios as possible.

The site launched the GGCare promotion in February. That program helps out players experience some tough luck at the tables.

Players generally received  GGCare well. The original Flipout tournament awarded $30,000, but that’s now been ramped up to $100,000.

The new “Cheers”promotion now offers the inverse of the “Cares” promotion. Both are expected to run indefinitely with the size of the daily prize amounts increasing as well.

More to come from GGPoker

Beyond the promotions, GG has been in the news a lot of late. The site continues running the World Series of Poker Online this week.

The WSOP Winter Online Super Circuit is also coming to the platform later this year. The site also recently surpassed PokerStars as the largest site in the world for the number of cash game players.

WSOP Weekly: Spanish Star Adrian Mateos Makes Final Four of $25,000 Heads-up Championship

The WSOP Online continues at GGPoker with Adrian Mateos seeking a fourth bracelet in the final four of the $25K Heads-up Championship.

The fourth week of the World Series of Poker Online continued at GGPoker over the last week. One big name stands out with a chance at a fourth bracelet – Spain’s Adrian Mateos.

In 2017, Mateos became the youngest player in history to win three bracelets at age 22. He now has a chance to score a fourth as one of the final four remaining in the $25,000 Heads-up Championship.

Daniel Negreanu continues searching for his seventh bracelet and also had a deep run over the last week. The WSOP action continues through Sept. 12 and here’s a look at some of the news from the last week.

Event 15: $10,000 Heads-up (Aug. 21)

Originally this event was planned for128 entries, but due to high demand GGPoker expanded that to 256. At the end of the day 161 players entered into the heads-up challenge for a $1.6 million prize pool.

The event is currently down to four remaining players and will resume on Sept. 4. The matchups are set for Arthur Conan to face off against Adrian Mateos and Daniel Soltys to battle Aleksejs Ponakovs. The winner scores a gold bracelet and $466,167.

Mateos is seeking his fourth WSOP bracelet and won the $10,000 live version of this tournament in 2017 in Las Vegas. That brought his third bracelet and $324,470.

Conan, Soltys, and Ponakovs are all looking for their first bracelets. Norman Chad and Lon McEachern both will provide commentary on GGPoker.tv during the matches.

Event 16: $1,050 GGMasters High Roller (Aug. 22)

This event included a $2 million guarantee and ended up with 2,240 entries, paying out $2.2 million. After two days of play, Finland’s Samuel Vousden secured the victory for a $274,519 payout.

Vousden defeated China’s Qibing “degenkaliu” Wang heads-up to score his first bracelet. Wang won $205,859 for his runner-up finish.

Event 17: $400 PLOSSUS (Aug. 22)

The PLO bounty event took place over two days and came with a $1 million guarantee. Israel grabbed the country’s first bracelet of the series as Gabi “kidrurim” Livshitz defeated Russia’s Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov heads-up.

Between bounties and prize payouts, Livshitz cashed in $152,165 for the achievement.

GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu had the chip lead after day one, but ended up finishing 23rd for $8,900. Kid Poker continues to live stream all of his events during the series as he chases his seventh bracelet.

Event 18: $5,000 Short Deck (Aug. 24)

Short Deck action returned to the WSOP over the last week. For the uninitiated, deuces through fives are removed from the deck in this version of poker.

This makes for plenty of action and big hands. Because of the differing mathematics in the game, straights are worth more than flushes. Flushes are also greater than a full house. Other key differences include tables being five-handed and the lowest straight is A-6-7-8-9.

At the tables, Russia’s Radmir “KOPOBA” Sadirov landed a bracelet and $169,111 after defeating 144 players.

Sadirov faced some tough competition with bracelet winners Sam Greenwood and Daniel Dvoress also at the final table. The total prize pool for the event was $684,000.

Event 19: $840 Bounty Six-Max (Aug. 26)

Ukraine’s Andrii Derzhypilskyi stopped Brazil from claiming another bracelet this series. Going into Day 2 of the event, Brazil held the top three spots on the leaderboard.  Brazilian players have already won several events.

Derzhpilskyi won $154,322 between bounties and prizes. He also was awarded a gold bracelet for defeating the 2,053-player field. The total prize pool reached $1.6 million.

No stranger to deep runs, Derzhpilskyi was at a final table for a bracelet almost a year to the day. He finished fifth in that event in 2020.

Chaffin found some nice scores over the last couple weeks with Michael Addamo and Mikita Badziakouski. Cross has also found some consistency with Niklas Astedt.

Cicali seems to have found players looking at other live events. That’s led to his points coming exclusively from Negreanu so far. Here’s a look at the standings with a couple weeks remaining:

The first week is in the books after GGPoker kicked off the World Series of Poker Online international bracelet hunt on Aug. 1. Players from all over the globe are competing to capture some gold.

The site offers 33 bracelet events from Aug 1 to Sept 12. This is the second year GG has hosted WSOP events online.

This included defeating two-time bracelet winner Chris Moorman at the final table.

What Is a Flip & Go?

A Flip & Go format offers a unique way to earn a bracelet. This year’s live WSOP will offer a version of these tournaments on Aug. 8.

This hybrid-style event features luck, skill, and a version of pineapple poker. The game plays as follows:

  • To start the tournament, each player gets three cards preflop.
  • After the flop each player must muck one card.
  • Every player is then forced all in.
  • One table winner moves on, the rest are eliminated.
  • The remaining players play out the tournament as a normal No Limit Hold’em event.

Event 7: $1,500 Millionaire Maker (Aug. 8)

Brazil scored the country’s third bracelet of the series after Eduardo Pires took down this big-field WSOP favorite. Pires defeated 5,437 entries to win $1.3 million

Pires defeated Lukas “rustyhusky” Hafner, of Austria, heads up for the victory. Hafner almost scored a million bucks ($984,469) as well for second place.

Pires defeated some heavy competition including Tomas Jozonis at the final table.
