Poker Podium: A Look at Summer Online, Live Winners on the International Poker Scene

Poker Podium takes a look at some of the winners over the summer at the major international online poker platforms.

The World Series of Poker came to a close this month in Las Vegas, and a Main Event champion was crowned with Norway’s Espen Jorstad capturing a gold bracelet and $10 million top prize.

The humble online poker pro also said he also won between $10,000 and $15,000 online during the series. But there were plenty of other notable online poker winners in June and July. Poker Podium takes a look at some recent international online and live winners who scored big over the summer.

GGPoker

The $10,300 Super MILLION$ recently crowned a champion on July 19. Brazilian Pablo Silva took the title and $260,765 after starting the final table as chip leader.

In a big pot at three-handed play against fellow countryman Rodrigo Sirichuk, Silva shoved from the small blind with King-Queen and Sirichuk called off his 24 big blind stack with AQ. The flop missed and Sirichuk picked up a flush draw on the turn to add to his over cards.

He was an 88.6% favorite, but Silva caught lightning when a non-club king fell on the river. That sent Sirichuk home in third with $159,040.

Canada’s Nick Maimone couldn’t overcome a 3-1 chip advantage for Silver to finish in second place for $203,647. The final hand saw Maimone call off 2.2 million after his $240,000 min-raise and shove by Silva. Maimone couldn’t hit his K-10 or flush versus Silva’s 7-7 on a spade flush flop.

Big online micro tournaments continued on GGPoker for a two-week run through July 3. To close out June, German “Johaenski” turned his $5 entry into a $30,202 score in a Mini Global MILLION$ event as part of the microMILLION$ series.

The three-handed deal with Russian “YourOwner” ($28,194) and Ukraine’s “Myskonvat” ($23,554) saw them best a monster-sized field of 88,700 entries.

PartyPoker

The partypoker Grand Prix UK Main Event recently concluded at PartyPoker. Beihao Wang topped a field of 1,507 to reel in £25,000 of the £146,179 prize pool. His $29,588 online score was by far the biggest of his poker career.

Lukas Boublel qualified for the partypoker MILLIONS Europe Main Event at partypoker for just $0.01. He made his way to beautiful Barcelona, Spain, and advanced to Day 2 with 67 players from the field of 450 on June 12. Boublel busted out in 18th place for €11,000 after his big slick ran into pocket Aces.

Ireland’s Steve O’Dwyer, who has $31 million in live tournament earnings, was the slight chip leader ahead of Hungary’s Gergely Bartos to start the final table.

O’Dwyer trailed Luuk Gieles by 142 million to 304 million chips going into heads-up action. But O’Dwyer came back and won €250,000 ($267,772) to capture his first victory on Spanish soil. Bartos finished third.

O’Dwyer’s win comes just days after taking runner-up in the €10,300 High Roller event in which Teun Mulder triumphed.

PartyPoker ambassador and streamer Jeff “MaximusBlack” Johnston finished in 25th in the MILLIONS Europe Main Event for €11,000 ($9,104)

Inspired by the energy and excitement of Formula 1, the McLaren F1 Team Turbo Series started July 22. The series continues through Aug. 8 with more than $2.5 million in guaranteed cash prizes.

The aptly-named “HyperTurbo123” came out on top of 247 entries in Event 12-H Eight-Max PKO. His $109 investment turned into a $5,544 payday with $3,024 from bounties after he defeated  “DuvelTripelHop” heads-up.

The $215 Turbo Series Main Event will be part of the August update. Partypoker also recently released more events planned for 2022. Here’s a look at the schedule.

888poker

The Festival Online recently came to a close at 888Poker. The series featured 21 online events from July 10 – Aug. 1 with combined guaranteed prize pools of $750,000.

In total, The Festival catered to a combined 6,942 entrants and awarded $820,820 in prize money. The $109 Opening Event had one of the five highest payouts of the series. The 1,000-entry field saw 796 players and 204 rebuys with a $100,000 prize pool.

The final table trio of Brazilian players missed heads up play but cashed in nicely on their entry fee.

  • “RMolinar17” (fifth for $4,550)
  • “Entaotoma” (fourth for $6,150)
  • “DantonGomes” (third for $8,300)

In the end, a heads-up deal was made between Sweden’s “Angelegot” ($14,692) and UK’s “DarioPourzan” ($12,077).

The $109 Texas Progressive KO was the largest draw with 1,072 entries. “DarianZimmer” of Germany cashed in the top prize of $13,925.

The other tournament to also draw at least 1,000 entries was the $109 Texas 8-Max. The winner was “Iaromachikne” of Brazil, who took a 12-1 chip lead into heads-up action against Ireland’s MIKEPOSTLE. Iaromachikne won $16,223 and the runner-up finish was worth $11,831 from a field of 1,048.

The $215 Festival Online Main Event started July 31 and 813 entries created a prize pool of $162,600. A total of 673 players rebought 140 times and the top 120 finishers made the money.

The final table of nine players returned Aug. 1 with cards-up coverage streamed live on the 888pokerTV Twitch channel. After “IOwnU888” bowed out in third for $14,195, the title came down to a pair of players from South America.

Ultimately, Argentina’s “Pbusto14” defeated Brazil’s “vpedote” in heads-up play to win the tournament for $26,553.

PokerStars

The United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) festival in Nottingham drew some of the best players in Europe. More than £1 million in prize money was guaranteed for the week-long festival that concluded July 31.

Local cash game pro Adam Maxwell outlasted a field of 582 entries (including 182 re-entries) to win the  £1,100 UKIPT Nottingham Main Event. Maxwell cashed in for £98,150 after a heads-up deal. Eventual runner-up Jonathan McCann took home £74,500 from the £564,540 total prize pool.

“It feels very good – it’s not quite sunk in yet,” Maxwell said, before reflecting on the heads-up duel. “It was a tough battle but I feel like the cards went my way.”

The top five finishers were from the UK with David Ledden (£47,460), Michael Howard (£36,500), and Daniel Gormley (£28,080) rounding out the top five spots ahead of German Fabio Sperling (£21,600) in sixth place.

Stars High Roller action

Following the main event, the two day £2,200 High Roller for £51,730 drew 95 players and Alex Goulder finished in third place (worth £23,840) after taking the chip lead into Day 2 with 21 players remaining. Tan Luan Le finished second for £33,000, while Gary Miller took the trophy and £51,730 first prize.

Kathleen Padovani won the two day  £340 UKIPT Cup to best a field of 413 players. With a prize pool of £120,183, Day 2 started with 62 players.

When nine remained for the final table, it looked like Vincenzo Lupoli was on his way to victory after he busted four consecutive players to get heads up against Padovani with a better than 3-1 chip lead.

As Padovani fought back to even and then took the chip lead, she repeatedly offered a deal to Lupoli, which he declined. Padovani flopped trip 9s on the final hand to claim victory and score her biggest-ever live cash for £23,513.

On the Case: Jason Koon Discusses GGPoker Anti-Cheating Initiative

GGPoker's Jason Koon is heading up the company's new Poker Integrity Council and spoke with PokerScout about the anti-cheating effort.

Cheating has been quite a topic of conversation in recent months and GGPoker recently announced its new Poker Integrity Council (PIC) to help combat unethical play. The company hopes to curb collusion, multi-accounting, use of real-time assistance (RTA), and other cheating methods.

The council will now work to decide if a player cheated at the online poker site and what punishment is warranted. GG ambassador Jason Koon is heading up the council and sees it as a step in the right direction. He recently spoke with PokerScout about GG’s plans.

“For too long cheaters have been able to prosper in poker, as they were well aware that any consequences they faced would be limited to a single site or operator,” he says.

“With PIC, not only do we have a robust approach for catching cheaters backed by the collective knowledge of our voting members, but thanks to the participation of and strong support from our allies, for the first time we will be able to keep the worst cheaters out of poker entirely. This project means a lot to me and I’m truly honored to be a part of it.”

How does GGPoker’s integrity council work?

Adding to its growing stable of talented ambassadors, GGPoker signed high stakes pro Jason Koon this week to its player ranks.
Jason Koon

Along with Koon, other members of the PIC include well-known pros Andrew Lichtenberger, Fedor Holz, Seth Davies, and Nick Petrangelo. The group will investigate suspicious behavior flagged at GG. The council’s process includes:

  • Detection – The company flags suspicious behavior such as collusion, bot play, use of RTA, or ghosting for review. RTA is a type of software offering players game theory optimal (GTO) guidance as they play a hand in real time. Most online poker operators ban this type of aide.
  • Review – Members review relevant hand histories, with the player remaining anonymous.
  • Ruling – Council members vote on any disciplinary action.

Live poker partners

GGPoker is also partnering with the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, Triton Poker, Poker After Dark, King’s Casino, and the Asian Poker Tour. Koon says the efforts to curb cheating can carry over to the live arena.

“If the PIC determines that players with repeated occurrences of cheating at live events is grounds for investigation, they may be subject to review/investigation,” he says.

Some players may be wondering if there will be any kind of appeals process beyond the council. Koon says that’s not in the plans because of the thoroughness involved with and needed in the process.

“While there will not be any formal process for players to appeal PIC’s decisions,”he says, “actions will only be taken against players when the council is absolutely certain that foul play has occurred.”

Rooting out unethical behavior

This is the industry’s first major effort to find and punish those believed to be cheating. Some major names like Bryn Kenney and Ali Imsirovic were accused of cheating in recent months.

Koon can’t comment on if the council will review any of these specific players. He doesn’t rule it out however.

“Unfortunately, we are unable to comment on any specific individuals,” he says. “However, our first council meeting is scheduled for Aug. 1, and the main topic of discussion will be to review and deliberate on the historically most egregious cheaters.”

GG won’t necessarily make banned players known to the public. However, GG will share names of those the council rules against with live tours and operators teaming up with the company in the anti-cheating effort.

“Our goal with PIC is to keep the poker streets clean,” Koon says. “We are not in the business of ‘outing’ or publicly shaming players. The list of blacklisted players will only be shared on a need-to-know basis, for example with our allies.”

Koo also notes that the company is hoping other online poker operators join in with the campaign as well.

“We want PIC to be a truly industry-wide initiative,” he says, “and we are all for other online operators to get on board.”

Court’s in Session: GGPoker Unveils Poker Integrity Council to Clean Up Game; Jason Koon Leads Effort

GGPoker recently launched the Poker Integrity Council to spearhead an industry-wide effort to help protect the integrity of the game.

GGPoker recently launched the Poker Integrity Council (PIC) to spearhead an industry-wide effort to help protect the integrity of the game.

The company made the announcement on July 5 at the World Series of Poker and hopes to help investigate allegations of cheating, conducting fair reviews, and enforcing sanctions for the most egregious cheaters.

The move comes after some recent cheating allegations involving some of the biggest names in poker. That included allegations of collusion, multi-accounting, real-time assistance (RTA), and other improprieties that are against most online poker operators’ terms of service.

GG ambassador Jason Koon is one of those on the council and looks forward to working with others toward bettering the game.

“I joined GGPoker with an important objective in mind, to help the GGPoker team make their poker games more secure and fair than ever,” Koon said in a news release.

“It’s an honor to launch the Poker Integrity Council and take another massive step in ensuring online poker is safe for all players. Our long list of allies also means that the wider community will be better protected via the industry-wide blacklist; we’re sending a united message that there’s no place in this game for cheaters.”

Steps in the GGPoker integrity review process

The move by GG comes after significant debate in the industry regarding security efforts. Some have favored an outright blacklist of cheaters. Others believe it’s simply up to operators themselves to police rogue players.

GG’s Poker Integrity Council is composed of some well-known players and includes:

  • Jason Koon
  • Andrew “LuckyChewy” Lichtenberger
  • Fedor Holz
  • Seth Davies – Run It Once
  • Nick Petrangelo – Upswing Poker

The group will independently investigate suspicious behavior flagged at the site’s online tables, according to GG. The company has put in place several steps involving cases the council reviews. That includes:

  • Detection – Suspicious behavior such as collusion, bot play, use of RTA, or ghosting is flagged for review. RTA is a type of software offering players game theory optimal (GTO) guidance as they play a hand in real time. This type of aide is banned by most online poker operators.
  • Review – Relevant hand histories, with the player remaining anonymous, are reviewed by Koon and PIC members.
  • Ruling – Council members vote on whether or not disciplinary action is required.

Disciplinary actions

The PIC will consider several options if disciplinary action is warranted. This can include a warning, account suspension, or a permanent GGPoker ban. This could also include a permanent ban combined with confiscation of funds.

In addition, in the most serious cases, a decision can be made to add the player to an industry blacklist. Beyond these, the company has also partnered with other poker operators to punish those who are found to have been cheating. Those companies include:

  • World Series of Poker
  • World Poker Tour
  • Triton Poker
  • Poker After Dark
  • King’s Casino
  • Asian Poker Tour

These groups will then bar blacklisted players from their events. With the inception of the council, GG can review the status of players previously blacklisted from the online poker room upon their request. In certain circumstances GG may remove or reduce the bans currently enforced.

As of now, GG hasn’t announced a player appeals process. Also, GG hasn’t released details on the other groups’ efforts at identifying possible cheating.

It’s unknown if other online operators will be be part of the effort with a similar process. GGPoker will announce more partners in the coming weeks.

Bang for the Buck: GGPoker Cranks Ups MicroMILLION$ Series With $5M Guaranteed, Bonus Freerolls

Online poker players with lower bankrolls are in luck with the upcoming microMILLION$ series at GGPoker with $5 million in prizes guaranteed.

Online poker players with lower bankrolls are in luck with the upcoming microMILLION$ series at GGPoker. The festival kicks off on Sunday and runs through July 3 with $5 million in prizes guaranteed.

The series is geared toward low rollers and features buy-ins starting at just $1.05 with a $25 Main Event

GG is also promising plenty of other opportunities for players to get in the action as well as some interesting tournament twists.

“If you’re sick of the same old tournament series, then the new microMILLION$ is for you,” head of GGPoker Sarne Lightman said in a news release. “We’re aiming to put the fun and excitement back into poker, and with buy-ins from around $1 and over $5 million to be won, microMILLION$ tournaments are for everyone to enjoy.”

Inside the series at GGPoker

The $25 microMILLION$ Main Event highlights the series and comes with some nice bang for the buck, a $1 million guarantee. Three starting flights arerun on July 3 with Day 2 then set for July 4.

The $5 Mini Global MILLION$ sees several starting flights beginning on June 19. Day 2 then plays out June 27 with $250,000 guaranteed.

Fans of bounty events are also in luck with a big $1 million guaranteed tournament. The $10.50 Mystery Bounty MILLION$ begins with starting flights on June 23 with Day 2 on July 4.

Free opportunities to get in the action

Beyond the smaller buy-ins, GGPoker is offering players even more opportunities to take a seat in the series.

The site will give out thousands of free microMILLION$ tickets in twice-daily Bonus Chance freerolls.

GG automatically registers players finishing outside the money into these events. The freerolls then run the following day.

GG is giving away more than $100,000 in free tickets. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

Busy month for GGPoker

The microMILLION$ only adds to a busy time for GGPoker. The company is a major sponsor of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and announced the signings of podcaster and player Jeff Gross and commentator Ali Nejad earlier this week. The two new as ambassadors will help add to the site’s content creation efforts.

The company also recently announced a new feature allowing players to use their NFTs as avatars. The company gave PokerScout an inside look at the new offering.

GGPoker recently launched the new “Ask Fedor” strategy feature and the company and Fedor Holz offered PokerScout some insight on the project.

In May the company also added to its poker strategy content significantly with the release of the “Ask Fedor” feature. The training tool features GG ambassador Fedor Holz and uses artificial intelligence to help players review hands.

Plenty of additions and new features are underway at GGPoker and more possible the coming months.

GGPoker Building Content Offerings With Signing of Jeff Gross, Ali Nejad as Ambassadors

Two more recognizable players joined the GGPoker stable of ambassadors on Tuesday. The site announced the addition of Jeff Gross and Ali Nejad to the team during the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Both will represent the online poker site in live and online events. The company has officially dubbed Gross as the “voice of GGPoker” and Nejad as “GGPoker media ambassador.”

Their primary focus will be to create new content to engage with new communities of players and help grow the game, the company noted in announcing their signings.

“GGPoker is the world’s biggest online poker room, but that doesn’t mean we’re not focused on growing even bigger,” GG ambassador Daniel Negreanu said in a news release. “Adding two of poker’s best contest-creating personalities to the GGTeam means we’ll better entertain our existing customers while broadening the game to reach new ones.”

A growing roster at GGPoker

Gross and Nejad add to a growing list of poker ambassadors at GG. They join some of the biggest names in poker representing the brand including Negreanu, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Jason Koon, and Fedor Holz

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Gross currently divides his time between Miami, Florida, Las Vegas, and Brazil. He first played poker at age 14 and boasts over $5 million in career tournament earnings. His poker record includes making seven WSOP final tables.

Gross is an avid podcaster and streamer, and engages with his large community across multiple social media platforms. GG hopes to harness some of that following and Gross’s creativity.

“I am thrilled to be joining GGPoker,” Gross said. “It’s an amazing time right now for poker and GG is leading the way. I am looking forward to being a brand ambassador as well as hosting the best tournament on the Internet, the weekly $10,300 Super MILLION$, with final tables broadcast every Tuesday.”

Nejad, a native of California, is one of the best-known broadcasters in poker. He has lent his insight to shows like NBC’s Poker After Dark and National Heads-Up Poker Championship, ESPN’s World Series of Poker coverage, The Ultimate Poker Challenge, and World Poker Tour broadcasts.

More recently, Nejad hosted the Triton Super High Roller broadcasts, both commentating and interviewing players away from the table. The signing added to an already-busy WSOP on Tuesday and drew some headlines for the WSOP partner.

Dan Bilzerian exits GGTeam

While GGPoker added two well-known poker personalities, the site also lost another brand ambassador recently. The so-called “king of Instagram” Dan Bilzerian signed with the company in February 2020.

His treatment of women in his social media posts immediately created some controversy within the poker world. The high stakes cash game player shook off any criticism and GG stood by the signing.

On a recent episode of the No Jumper podcast, Bilzerian outlined some disagreements he had with the site. He also criticized many in the poker world, especially singling out Phil Hellmuth and Doug Polk.

“Most poker players are fucking nerds,” Bilzerian said on the show. “I don’t really hang out with that many of them. I don’t really want to associate with them. I shut most of them out of my fucking games. I never really let pros in.”

Bilzerian’s exit brings to a close an interesting chapter in the world of online poker. The signing of Gross and Nejad may provide less controversy for GG. Both are well regarded among many players in the poker community.

Digital Dynamics: GGPoker Unlocks NFT Avatars; Online Poker Players Can Now Connect Token Assets

GGPoker recently announced a new feature giving players the ability to display their NFT’s as avatars at the virtual poker tables.

One of the largest online poker sites in the world is embracing the NFT scene. GGPoker recently announced a new feature giving players the ability to display their NFT’s as avatars.

NFT stands for “non-fungible tokens” and are a form of digital asset. These digital creations feature pieces of online art, video, or other media. Fans then collect the digital tokens like sports or Pokémon cards.

GG is now offering players a way to display their NFTs as part of their time at the virtual poker tables.

“The GGPoker community is slowly, but surely, embracing our new NFT Avatars feature and showcasing their favorite NFT swag at the tables,” GGPoker head of public relations Paul Burke says. “Poker players are known for showing off on the live felt, with lots of bling and jewelry; NFT Avatars bring the same energy to the digital felt.”

NFT popularity growing among online poker sites

GGPoker is one of several poker companies and players are getting in on the NFT game. Players can purchase a collectible and then store them in digital wallets that players own.

The owners can then display their art or sell or trade their items. GGPoker is now allowing players to display those items in their wallet as their own personal avatar

“The feature uses Wallet Connect to support NFT wallets,” Burke says. “Wallet Connect covers over 120 different wallets, including MetaMask, Trust, Argent, Rainbow, Infinito, Ledger Live, and more. We plan to integrate some more big crypto platforms in the near future.”

GGPoker NFT avatar display features

Once players connect their wallets they can display NFT art as their avatar. GG is also offering a feature so other players know the avatar they are seeing is through a verified wallet.

The GGPoker website offers step-by-step directions on setting up an NFT avatar.

“You should now be able to see a hexagonal shape throughout your profile,” the site notes, “which will be an indication to others that you indeed own a verified NFT.”

Big money NFTs head to site

So far, GGPoker reports more than 450 accounts have already connected their NFT wallets. Burke says some pricy NFTs are already appearing as avatars on the felt.

“The most expensive NFT currently in use at GGPoker as an Avatar recently sold for 26.5 Ethereum, approximately $52,225,” he says.

Some well-known NFTs currently used as avatars at GGPoker include Otherdeed for OtherSide, Galaxy Fight Club, Pudgy Penguins, and BEANZ Official.

How to get started in the sea of NFTs

One popular spot for people looking to get into these tokens is OpenSea.io. This site is like the ebay of the NFT world and collectors simply create a wallet to get started.

After that, users then connect their wallet to OpenSea and can purchase and sell as they please.  Collectors simply click on an NFT that interests them and can then make an offer.

OpenSea even lets users create their own NFTs on the site. Many artists currently list their works on the site.

At this time, GGPoker doesn’t sell or mint any tokens. However, numerous other operators have begun their own NFT offerings from the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker to partypoker and even individual players.

The poker world continues seeing a future in the new world of digital collectibles.

Poker Podium: A Look at Major Live & Online May Winners on the International Poker Scene

Several online poker operators recently held major live and tournament series, and here's a look at some of the big winners.

Several online poker operators recently held major live tournament series with online qualifiers also heading to the tables for some action. The international live poker scene has grown in recent months with poker sites leading the charge.

Barcelona, Madrid, and the United Kingdom all hosted major series throughout May. Poker Podium now takes a look at some recent live tournament winners as well as a few hitting it big online.

Partypoker

The partypoker Grand Prix UK recently concluded at Dusk Till Dawn, offering players plenty of options at the popular UK casino. The £150 Main Event was the major bullet point for players heading to the property, and saw 1,156 players for a £150,000 prize pool.

Andrew Balfe took down the event for £22,000, the biggest score of his career. Nestoras Kakoyannis finished runner-up for £14,275.

A couple of other players also recently scored big in the MILLIONS Online KO Edition, which runs through May 31. The $530 NLHE Eight-Max event saw 206 players for a $103,000 prize pool. Finland’s Mathias Siljander found the winner’s circle for $19,314. Malta’s Ricardo Silva placed second for $13,860.

The $215 NLHE Eight-Max also produced a nice prize pool with 575 playing for a share of $115,000. Brazil’s Andre Luis Berlanda came out as the champion for $18,606.

Partypoker also recently released more events planned for 2022. Here’s a look at the schedule.

PokerStars

The Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) continues through June 1 at PokerStars. As the action plays out, a few players stand out so far.

Dinesh “NastyMinder” Alt was recently one of the players grabbing a title. The Swiss player is a regular online pro and has scored numerous titles including World COOP, Turbo COOP, Bounty Builder High Roller, and a Sunday Million.

After so much success, Alt now has not one, but two SCOOP titles to add to that string of wins. He first won a $109 SCOOP Sunday Kickoff for $44,887

Alt then turned a $109 Phase entry into an entry into the $5,000 Titans PKO, then winning the event for $230,145. That total included an impressive $157,285 in bounties.

“It felt awesome, especially these high roller tournaments with tough fields, there are so many people I know and respect as very good players, it was definitely awesome,” he told the Stars blog after the Titans win.

“The previous one was a smaller buy-in with more luck involved as the fields are so big and the variance is higher but in the high rollers, it’s more about skill and less variance in the smaller fields.

In other action, PokerStars ambassador Fintan “easywithaces” Hand scored his third SCOOP title in three years. He took down the $2,000 Sunday Warm-Up for $119,046 including $71,820 in bounties. Hand enjoyed quite a celebration after the win:

888poker

The 888poker Live Barcelona series wrapped up on May 23. Poker pros Maria Ho and Dan “Jungleman” Cates made the trip to Spain for the action along with the site’s ambassadors and the 888poker StreamTeam.

Cates made the trip worthwhile, winning the €5,300 Super High Roller for €33,000. In the €2,200 High Roller, Ireland’s James Crawley took the title for €38.000. The UK’s Warren Aspey finished runner-up for €24.000 in a tournament that attracted 63 entries.

The €1,100 Main Event highlighted the series and featured four starting flights. The action included 334 entries for a €320,640 prize pool.

The final table saw five of the nine players hailing from the host country as well as players from the UK, Finland, Italy, and France. In the end, Italy’s Sandro Hauser came out on top for €56,800.

Spain’s Alexandre Ventura Bolet finished runner-up €41,400 after a deal was reached among the top three.

GGPoker, Triton Poker

The Online Poker Championship is underway at GGPoker, running through June 1 with $150 million guaranteed. The company has also partnered with Triton Poker for the tour’s recent Madrid series.

GG offered players online qualifiers for events and some big names have once again made some news. That has included Tom Dwan, who scored two titles in three days. He won the €30,000 Short Deck Turbo and €25,000 Pot Limit Omaha for a total of €626,000.

Australia’s Michael Addamo also has two titles, winning the opening $20,000 NLHE for €478,000 and a €75,000 NLHE event for €1.2 million. Stephen Chidwick and Jason Koon also drvured titles in the series, which wrapped up on Wednesday.
