Partypoker Promotes New ‘Party Responsibly’ Initiative With McLaren Racing Partnership

Partypoker recently announced a partnership with F1's McLaren Racing. That now extends to the new "Party Responsibly" safe gaming campaign.

Partypoker and parent company Entain recently announced a partnership with Formula 1’s McLaren Racing. Beyond sponsoring a race car on the track, the deal now extends to a new safe gaming campaign.

Ahead of this weekend’s Styrian Grand Prix, Entain has launched the “Party Responsibly” campaign. The initiative partners with McLaren to promote the benefits of staying in control, “whether at the wheel of an F1 car or when betting and gaming,” the company notes.

Staying under control at the table or track

The F1 partnership plays a major part of Party Responsibly. The new mini-film Time to Pit, featuring McLaren F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, is at the center of the campaign.

The film stresses the importance of respecting personal limits and staying in control.

A look at one of the McLaren Racing cars. Partypoker recently partner with the Formula 1 racing company.

As part of the initiative McLaren’s MCL35M race cars will carry the Party Responsibly messaging. That will be seen on the cars rather than product branding at the Styrian and Austrian races.

Both events will be held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.

New online messaging included

Along with the film and race car branding, Entain has launched a new internet hub for the campaign at partyresponsibly.net. Fans will find the Time to Pit film on the new site.

The hub also shows how McLaren has promoted safety for years by innovating new features on its cars. Players can also check that they are in control of their betting and gaming. The site provides information on best ways and tools to maintain full control.

“We believe there is lots to learn from the importance McLaren and Daniel attach to managing risk and staying in control,” Entertain director of corporate affairs at Entain Grainne Hurst said in a news release.

“That’s why we think Party Responsibly is a great way to use the partnership to promote safer betting and gaming, to ensure our players respect their limits and enjoy a great entertainment experience with us.”

More Cashback Coming to Partypoker Players With Boosted Promotions, Increased Prizes

Partypoker is offering online poker players even more reason to hit the cash game tables with new cashback and Magic Card boosts.

Partypoker is offering online poker players even more reason to hit the cash game tables. The company unveiled new cashback and Magic Cards boosts this week, meaning more bang for the buck for players.

Cash and fastforward games are now offering 10% extra cashback. The Magic Card promotion also receives a significant boost to the prizes awarded. Both promotions start next week.

Partypoker makes it easier to earn cash back

To qualify for the cashback promotion, all players have to do is earn 0.1 cashback points or more in a single ay. This can be on any game type and the promotion begins June 21.

Partypoker will then return an extra 10% cashback on all cash game and fastforward rake. This means thousands of players now have a chance to earn cashback every day. Players earn 1 point for every $1 in rake they generate and 0.1 points for every $0.10.

This promotion adds a boost to a previous cashback promotion. Previously, players needed to generate 600 points in a week to qualify.

That’s now been reduced at just 0.1 points a day. The 10% boost is also paid daily now, not just at the end of the week.

Players can win more with Magic Cards

Partypoker is also adding new and improved prizes to the Magic Cards promotion. The company is giving players more chances to win with the maximum cash prize rising from $500 to $1,000.

Magic Cards allow players to go on a poker journey to earn a daily pick. Players use daily picks to choose one of four cards. These can reveal an instant prize including

  • cash
  • tournament tickets
  • bonuses
  • freeroll tickets

The promotion begins June 22, allowing cash game and fastforward players to earn up to five picks daily. Players gain an extra pick for every cashback point they earn from those games.

There will also now be additional Magic Cards prizes. With the Euro and Copa America football tournaments in full swing, players can also win bonus bets.

These wagers can be placed on any event with partypoker Sports. To claim the picks, players can head to the offers section and choose a card.

“We’re really excited to be able to offer all of our players the opportunity to earn cashback, and to earn it daily for the period of the Boosted Cashback promotion,” partypoker associate director of marketing Liam Casey said in a news release.

“With Euro 2020, Copa America, NBA playoffs, and of course Wimbledon taking place over the next few weeks, our Magic Cards promotion is going to give away thousands of free sports bets. It’s a fun time to play on partypoker.”

Plans for Hot Tables to be ramped up

Partypoker also recently introduced the Hot Tables promotion. That feature will go dark beginning June 22.

The pause allows for some changes to the promotion following some player feedback, the company notes. That is expected to result in more players at the table being paid prizes. More details are expected to be announced soon.

World Cup of Cards Debuts Online This Week at Partypoker

Another major series returns to partypoker with the World Cup of Cards running June 16 to July 8 and featuring a $1 million main event.

Another major tournament series returns to partypoker this week with the online debut of the World Cup of Cards. The 12-event festival runs June 16 to July 8 and features mini versions of each tournament.

The series is normally hosted by Playground Poker Club in Quebec, Canada. However, the 2021 version will be online and is open to all players, not just those in Canada.

Party is planning plenty of action with qualifying opportunities for players of all bankrolls.

Inside partypoker’s World Cup of Cards schedule

Partypoker has worked to make the online World Cup very player friendly. Tournaments will feature shorter clocks allowing for earlier finishes.

The company even planned key events to fit around this summer’s European Football Championship.

The $55 Grand Prix Knockout kicks off the series on opening day and comes with a $250,000 guarantee. The tournament features several starting flights before wrapping up on June 24.

A $5.50 Grand Prix Mini Knockout also offers a nice option for players looking for a bargain-priced event. The Mini Knockout also features multiple starting flights and a $50,000 guarantee.

The three-day $1,100 Main Event includes a $1 million guarantee with starting flights on June 27 and July 1 and 4. An additional Day 1 turbo is set for July 5.

The final table plays out on July 8 and partypoker notes that the day “avoids a clash with any major football matches.”

Another interesting event is the $320 Playground Cup, which comes with a $125,000 guarantee. The event is set for June 25-27 with four starting flights.

Players can also check out the $33 mini version of the tournament with a $50,000 guarantee. All events feature No Limit Hold’em and additional side events may be added to the schedule in coming days.

Lower cost options to get in the action

Partypoker has worked to make the World Cup appeal to players of all bankrolls. The site has a comprehensive satellite plan for the series including for the main event.

Players can qualify from just $0.01 and 20 tickets are awarded every week. A trip to play in Canada may not be possible, but partypoker hopes the action online fills the void.

“I’m looking forward to partypoker bringing the World Cup of Cards online,” Team partypoker’s Kristen Bicknell said in a news release. “I’m missing playing at Playground, which is such an exciting place to play live, but hopefully we will see this series back there soon.

“In the meantime, I’m most looking forward to the Main Event, which should be a great tournament. As always, there will be great satellites running, but if you don’t manage to make it through, the $5.50 and $55 Grand Prix tournaments are a helpful lower-stakes option.”

Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

PartyPoker Adds New Tournaments to Schedule; Ole Schemion Wins Inaugural ‘Grand’ Event

Partypoker debuted a few new tournaments recently and a World Poker Tour champion came out on top of the first major addition.

Partypoker debuted a few new tournaments recently. The events range from smaller buy-in “community” events to higher stakes events with plenty of qualifying opportunities.

A World Poker Tour champion recently rose to the top in one of those major events. Here’s a look at some of the news coming from partypoker.

Schemion wins the inaugural ‘Grand’ tournament

The Grand is the newest addition to the partypoker tournament schedule. The tournament is fittingly priced at $1,050 with a $200,000 guarantee. To enter, party also offers phased tournament qualifiers with buy-ins of:

  • $2.20
  • $22
  • $109

The first event played out on June 6 and attracted 280 entries for a $280,576 prize pool. A familiar name rose to the top with German poker superstar Ole Schemion taking the championship for $53,425.

Schemion has won on some of the game’s biggest stages including the WPT, Aria High Rollers, European Poker Tour, and numerous others.

In the Grand, he battled Austria’s Simon Grabenschweiger heads up for the title. Grabenschweiger took home  $37,172 for the runner-up finish. Another Grand event runs on June 13.

Another 500 tournament also debuts Sunday; Tuesday 500 changes format

Along with The Grand, partypoker is adding another event to the tournament roster. The Sunday 500 also plays out each Sunday and premiers June 13.

The $530 event comes with a $100,000 guarantee in a progressive knockout format (PKO). Players win at least $125 for each knockout with the other bounty portion added to the winning player’s bounty.

Players begin with 500,000 chips with 12-minute levels. Late registration is open for the first 10 levels with a single re-entry allowed before the end of the 10th level. Satellites are already underway and come with buy-ins of $0.55, $5.50, and $55.

In other tournament news, the Tuesday 500 tournament became a PKO event on June 15. This now brings the event in line with the Thursday and Sunday 500 events.

The site has also added an extra $109 Weekender tournament with a $100,000 guarantee. The event now includes three starting flights beginning on Friday with the final day playing out on Sunday.

Community Knockout sees two players cash in on special bounties

Partypoker launched the inaugural Community Knockout event on Wednesday. The event is an occasional tournament featuring members of various online social media communities.

The tournament was open to any player on the platform, but those knocking out special guests were in line for extra bounty prizes. A player who’s a member of that group knocking out a community bounty player also earned a bonus prize.

The $5.50 tournament attracted 1,726 entries with Russia’s Artem Kharitonov coming out on top for $1,209. The event also awarded two special bounty prizes.

Mr DT,” who runs a popular football fan community, was knocked out by “bikense_pkr” for an additional $50. “DTM85” took out Swedish table tennis player Mattias Falckto to win a PlayStation V5 console.

The company plans on running more Community Knockout events in the coming months.

England’s Paul Romain turns free ticket into $1,100 World Cup of Cards seat

Fresh off the WPT Online Series, the World Cup of Cards is the next series up at partypoker. Set for June 16 to July 8, the festival is usually held at the Playground Poker Club in Canada.

The World Cup moves online again this year however, and players can expect plenty of action. The $1,100 Main Event features a $1 million guarantee and partypoker is offering some special qualifying opportunities.

The site is giving away tickets via partypoker social media channels. Paul Romain received a $4.40 ticket on Facebook. He then turned that satellite entry into a $1,100 seat in the main Event.

Romain is well-known on the British poker scene. A regular live poker player, the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to move more into online poker. It’s been quite an interesting poker life for Romain.

“I was a relative latecomer to poker,” he recently told partypoker. “I had never played it until I was 46. I took it up as a hobby online in 2007 after taking voluntary redundancy from BT [British Telecom] and have pretty much supported myself through poker ever since.”

Big Names Bring Bounty Prizes in Partypoker Community Knockout

Partypoker launched the Community Knockout with special bounties for players eliminating well-known faces from popular online communities.

Social media poker communities have grown in popularity in recent years. Players share their success stories, hand analyses, and an overall general interest in the game.

Partypoker is now recognizing this trend with some extra events and prizes beginning tonight. The site has launched the Community Knockout with some special bounties for players eliminating a few well-known faces from popular online communities.

Partypoker throws in some major prizes

The inaugural Community Knockout begins tonight with a $5.50 buy-in and a $5,000 guarantee. On top of the guarantee, a $50 bounty is placed on special bounty players chosen by each community.

An exclusive prize awaits anyone from one of the communities who knocks out a bounty player from the same community. That award is in addition to the regular bounty prize.

Any player can enter the tournament. However, to be eligible for special prizes, players need to sign up with any of the 11 participating social communities.

What can players expect to win for eliminating one of these players? Some rewards include a large cash boost to the bounty prize, up to an extra $500.

That will be the prize for four-time super middleweight boxing champion and Team partypoker member Carl Froch. He’ll be representing the partypoker community.

“I’m really looking forward to playing in the first ever partypoker Community Knockout tournament, alongside some other famous faces from the world of sport,” Froch said in a news release. “I’ll be looking to outlast them all, but with a juicy $500 cash bounty on my head, it will be tough. I hope to see lots of players from the various communities at the tables.”

Another player to watch is five-time world darts champion Raymond van Barneveld, representing The Poker Page community forum. His bounty includes the additional prize of an Xbox gaming console.

Sky Sports football reporter Bianca Westwood is also playing and representing Oddschanger. Knocking her out earns one lucky player an LG TV and sound bar package.

How to claim the special bounty prizes

There’s an extra caveat to claiming those community bounty prizes. Players who eliminate a bounty player need to do the following:

  • take a screenshot of their winning hand
  • share the hand with their community on social media
  • tag partypoker in the social media post

More Community Knockout events are expected to be held in the coming months. Here’s a look at all bounty players in the first event.

Christian Rudolph Scores Partypoker WPT Online Main Event; Site Offers Boosted Cashback

The WPT Online Series wrapped up at partypoker with Christian Rudolph winning the Main Event.

The WPT Online Series came to a close on June 2 with the $3,200 Main Event coming to an end. The event featured $3 million guaranteed with Christian Rudolph coming out on top.

Some other big names also rose to the top during the series at partypoker. Along with some big tournament action, party has also announced a nice cashback promotion for cash game players.

Rudolph shines in WPT Main Event

For his win, Rudolph becomes the first WPT champion of Season XIX. The tour recently announced its 2021 dates and Rudolph moves to the top of the Player of the Year standings.

He began the final table in the middle of the pack before surging ahead. The win came after a heads-up deal with Brazilian player Fabiano Kovalski.

Going into heads-up play, Rudolph held 150 million chips to Kovalski’s 63 million. That flipped at one point, but Rudolph later reclaimed the chip lead. The players then struck a deal that left $30,000 extra for the eventual champion.

Play continued with Rudolph eventually taking the title and Kovalski collecting $401,792 for runner-up. Canada’s Daniel Dvoress scored $249,324 for third.

Rudolph adds to a long list of poker achievements including winning a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2020. In the WSOP Online, he took down the $25,000 Poker Players Championship for $1.8 million.

The German poker star has more than $4.8 million in live tournament winnings. He has millions more online and now also adds his name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

Wiktor Malinowski takes down Super High Roller for $354k

Many may remember Wiktor Malinowski for his heads-up battle earlier this year with Fedor Holz. While he may be better known for high stakes cash games, he appears to have tournament skills as well.

Malinowski won the $25,500 Super High Roller for $354,791. The event attracted 39 players, coming up just one player short of the $1 million guarantee.

With two players remaining, Malinowski battled Joao Vieira for the title. With no deal struck, Malinowski came out on top for $354,791 with Vieira scoring $217,902 for second.

The WPT Online was a nice series for Malinowski. Earlier, he finished runner-up in the $10,300 WPT High Roller $166,429.

partypoker offers players 10% cashback

Cash game and fastforward players are in store to claim an additional 10% cashback at partypoker. The promotion begins June 7 and runs four weeks with money awarded weekly.

“By offering our loyal players an additional 10% cashback, we are giving back more to players, and helping players of all levels enjoy more games on partypoker,” partypoker director Vadim Soloveychik said in a news release.

“Busier cash game and fastforward tables during the traditionally lower-volume summer season will be great for everybody.”

Players who rack up 600 cashback points in a week in any game type are eligible for the boosted cashback.

Players earning 600 points earn 40% total cashback on their cash game and fastforward play. Those who earn 1,200 points receive a total of 50% cashback on their ring game play.

Players earn 1 point for every $1 in rake they generate. Points are earned through all game types, not just cash games or fastforward. Cashback reward payouts are made every Tuesday during the promotion.

“It’s great to see partypoker give back even more to cash game players,” Team partypoker’s Jaime Staples said. “I think we are doing a good thing here to continue to promote and grow cash games. It has always been an important part of poker, and needs to grow alongside tournaments, SPINS games, and sit & gos.”

Partypoker’s “Hot Tables” are already proving popular for ring game players. The promotion has generated more than 325,000 boosted pots in just over two months. The cash game promotions now continue with some nice cash returned to players.

WPT Online Series Update: Big Names Score, Satellite Qualifiers Advance at Partypoker

The WPT Online is coming to partypoker and the site released the official schedule on Tuesday with plenty of action running May 14 to June 2.

The WPT Online rolls on at partypoker and the Main Event is underway with two starting flights remaining. The series runs through June 2 and some big names have already produced some nice results.

The $3,200 Main Event guarantees a $3 million prize pool. More starting flights and qualifiers are in the works in the coming days as well as other interesting side events.

“We have already seen some fantastic performances in this year’s WPT Online Series,” partypoker head of poker room management Chris Donnachie said. “We’re delighted to give players of all bankrolls yet more chances to get involved in the WPT Main Event and become a WPT champion.”

WPT action rolls on at partypoker

Day 1A of the Main Event played out on May 23. Connor Drinan held the lead at the end of the day with a stack of more than 3.84 million chips.

Drinan has more than $11 million in tournament winnings including taking down a WSOP Online event in September for $1.4 million. He now hopes to add his name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

Day 1A featured 521 players with 78 advancing to Day 2. Partypoker has worked to incorporate satellites for every bankroll and several players have done well.

Connor Drinan finished Day 1A as chip leader WPT Online Main Event.

Six players who won a seat in the 50x seat mega satellite moved on to Day 2. Another mega satellite is set for May 30 just before Day 1B on the same day. Players can qualify for just a single cent.

A Day 1 turbo satellite also plays out May 31 with Day 2 later the same day. Day 3 is scheduled for the following day and the final table will play to a finish on June 2.

The final table will be streamed live on partypoker’s Twitch channel.

A look at some other events

In other action, Brazil’s took down the WPT500 Knockout, which featured a $1 million guarantee. Caio Pessagno topped a field of 2,054 players for a payday of $102,704.

There have been some other nice performances so far.  Another Brazilian, Douglas Souza, won the $33 WPT Pro Hunt on the opening day of the series, winning $5,748. Souza also won a seat in the Main Event.

Fritjof Torstensson took the victory in the WPT Mini Main Event for $78,769. Sweden’s Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson also won the $10,300 WPT High Roller for $249,791 on May 24. That event attracted 95 players with 17 returning for Day 2.

Mattsson has won more than 230 online poker tournaments and battled cash game specialist Wiktor Malinowski heads-up for the title. Malinowksi scored $166,429 for runner-up.

More WPT action ahead at partypoker

Plenty of WPT action remains at partypoker beyond the Main Event. Several starting flights are planned for another WPT500 event. The tournament  concludes on June 1 and features a $1 million guarantee.

The $300 WPT Closer is also set for May 31 with $150,000 guaranteed. The $30 Mini version features $50,000 guaranteed and $5 Micro comes with a $15,000 guarantee.

“There is still more to come too,” Donnachie said. “The hallmark WPT Main Event is complemented by an extensive range of exciting events, and I’m sure we will have many more great stories as we approach the conclusion of the series.”
