Heads or Tails: Partypoker Coin Flip Promotion Boosts SPINS Games with Prizes Up to $500

Online poker players have a chance at some free cash at partypoker. The site’s popular SPINS tournaments now offer instant prizes worth up to $500 with the launch of the Coin Flip promotion.

The promotion is meant to add some extra fun to these events and are available over the next three weeks.

“At partypoker, we want to engage poker players and give them great experiences,” partypoker associate director of marketing Liam Casey said.

“This year, we have challenged ourselves to present promotions in new ways that we haven’t done before, and Coin Flip is the perfect example of that.”

How does partypoker’s Coin Flip work?

Players will find bonus cash awarded across four different SPINS game tiers: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. Buy-ins across the tiers range from $3 (bronze) to $20 (platinum).

Coin flips are possible for any player participating in five SPINS games within one of the tiers in one day. Anyone can use a flip by heading to the promo section of the software client or mobile app.

Players then click on their dedicated tier to play a Coin Flip game for prizes. Players can join as many tiers as they like.

All users will also have the chance at a Coin Flip, whether they play a SPINS game or not. Partypoker is giving all players one free flip each day in the bronze tier throughout the promotion.

“What makes these prizes unique is that they can be received by any player instantly,” partypoker notes in a news release, “and players will not have to win them through a leaderboard or by waiting for a leaderboard to play out.”

More prizes added in partypoker promotion

There are even more potential prizes available to players on top of the Coin Flip cash prizes. Players may also win SPINS tickets, casino free spins, and special freerolls. The special freerolls include:

  • Double Barrel – Players have the option to re-enter the tournament with additional tickets.
  • Winner Takes All – The winning player is the only one to cash.
  • Everyone Wins – These allow all players to cash with no late registration.

Feeling Hot, Hot, Hot With New Partypoker Cash Game Feature

Cash game tables at partypoker now have a shot at some extra winnings with the new “Hot Tables” feature offering random boosts up to $500.

Players heading to the cash game tables at partypoker now have a shot at some extra winnings. The new “Hot Tables” offer random boosts up to $500 – a chance for extra cash for players of all bankrolls.

“Hot Tables has been a challenging but fun development for multiple teams and aims to target a wider range of players with rewards across our cash games on both desktop and mobile,” partypoker head of product Ross McQuater said in a news release.

“We are excited to see how our players react to the introduction of Hot Tables as we continue to find ways to improve their poker experience.”

How do partypoker Hot Tables work?

Hot Tables are available in both regular and fastforward cash games. The idea is similar to partypoker’s SPINS and SPINS Ultra games.

Individual tables are randomly selected for prizes, adding some extra fun to the experience. Boosted pots can come at any possible time during play. A multiplier randomly determines the size of the prize pool.

Hot Tables apply to all No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha games across four separate stake levels. This ranges from $0.05/$0.10 to $0.50/$1.

Prizes come in five separate tiers: bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond. Here’s a look at the prize payouts:

StakesMinimum prizeMaximum prize
$0.05/$0.10$0.10$50
$0.10/$0.20$0.25$125
$0.25/$0.50$0.50$250
$0.50/$1$1$500

More details on the Hot Tables feature

When the Hot Table feature is triggered, players will know what their prize range is before the hand starts. The boosted hand winner then finds out what the actual boosted pot is and receives the prize.

If a fastforward table gains a boost, then the forward-fold option is removed from that table. This gives all players a chance to win the boosted pot.

Team partypoker pros will also be getting in on the action in the Hot Tables Challenge. This event features two pros playing Hot Tables for two hours on Wednesdays with a $1,000 bankroll.

The goal is to win more than the other player and become the winner of the day. The winning player returns the following week and plays until another player manages to take his or her place.

PartypokerTV, the site’s Twitch channel, will stream the Hot Tables Challenge action live each week. Hot Tables offer some nice bang for the buck.

Plenty of partypoker action in the works

The MILLIONS Online recently wrapped up, but there’s more partypoker tournament action in the works. The WPT500 is currently underway, offering 23 events and running through March 25.

Players will find two main events, each with a $1 million guarantee. Winners of the championship tournaments also earn WPT500 trophies.

Partypoker also recently announced that the 2021 Irish Poker Open will be held online again this year.

The series runs March 26 to April 7 with buy-ins ranging from €22 to €5,300. Players will find an overall guarantee of €3.1 million. March and April offer plenty of action for players at partypoker.

Chess Becomes King at Partypoker With Challenge & Freerolls; Grandmaster Wins High Roller

Partypoker is running Battle of the Minds on March 11 poker and chess pros teaming up to battle it out on the chess board and poker felt.

Poker players have embraced chess since the The Queen’s Gambit became a hit for Netflix. Big name players have worked on their best Garry Kasparov and Bobby Fischer moves – even streaming their action.

Partypoker is now getting in the act with the Battle of the Minds on Friday. The event features two teams battling it out on the chess board and at the online poker felt. The event promises a unique competition with viewers able to stream all the action.

What can viewers expect from partypoker’s Battle of the Minds?

The event teams up a poker pro with a chess master, playing both games. The contest features three sets, each consisting of one heads-up sit and go and one chess game.

In the poker games, players will alternate play on every street. For example, one player will have the pre-flop action. A partner will then play the flop and they continue alternating from that point.

If the scores are tied after three sets, the tie-breaker is a hyper-turbo heads-up sit and go. If either team wins both of the first two sets, the third set will still be played. The two Team Partypoker members and their teammates are:

  • Isaac Haxton and super grandmaster Alexander Grischuk
  • Patrick Leonard and eight-time Russian chess champion Peter Svidler

The poker will be played on partypoker with the site teaming with chess24 to host the chess matches. The site is a complete chess news and information portal.

The action will be live-streamed by all four players and on chess24’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

More chess & poker action with Freeroll Series

Partypoker is promising even more poker and chess action. The site and chess24 are allowing others to get in the game as part of the event.

The Battle of the Minds Freeroll Series runs every Sunday throughout March and April. The festival offers players the chance to win tickets for partypoker tournaments and €50 in chess24 shop vouchers.

Those participating earn leaderboard points to qualify for the second stage of the series. Players in the top four positions at the end of April will play in a knockout heads-up tournament. All four earn prizes with the winner earning:

  • €100 partypoker ticket
  • €100 chess24 shop voucher
  • one hour of private poker coaching session with a pro
  • one hour of private chess coaching session with a pro

Chess grandmaster turns into poker champ

Numerous poker players have crossed over from the world of chess to try their luck at poker. The poker world saw another example emerge last week.

Estonian chess grandmaster Ottomar Ladva traded in rooks and pawns for full houses and flush draws. He took down the partypoker MILLIONS Online $25,500 Six-Max Super High Roller for $525,089.

Ches grandmaster Ottomar Ladv won the partypoker MILLIONS Online $25,500 Six-Max Super High Roller for $525,089. (photo courtesy partypoker)

That profit amounted to even more considering the 23-year-old qualified via a $530 satellite. That moved him into a $2,650 satellite, where he went on to qualify for the tournament.

After beating out 69 competitors, Ladva came out on top. The final table included poker heavyweights like Justin Bonomo and Jason Koon.

Ladva eventually faced Bonomo heads-up, certinly no easy task. He also had to fight back from a 6 to 1 chip deficit but completed that unlikely feat.

No stranger to poker success, Ladva now has more than $800,000 in poker winnings. The tournament paid out $1.75 million, well above the $1 million guarantee. Bonomo earned $327,468 as runner-up.

It’s been a big month of chess for partypoker. The strategy seems like a nice idea as more operators work to bring more players to the game.

Chess seems like a nice complement to poker with competitive, strategic players in both games.

Irish Open Online Heads Back to Partypoker With €3.1 million Guaranteed, €1 Million Main Event

The Irish Open Online 2021 runs March 26 to April 7 at partypoker with buy-ins ranging from €22 to €5,300 and €3.1 million guaranteed.

Major online poker series continue rolling out for partypoker. The Irish Poker Open is the latest live tournament to shift online and party is giving all players around the world the chance to compete.

The Irish Open Online 2021 runs March 26 to April 7 with buy-ins ranging from €22 to €5,300. That means something for players of all levels hoping for some luck of the Irish with €3.1 million guaranteed.

“We are extremely proud to again be given the opportunity to host such an iconic poker festival online at partypoker,” partypoker head of poker room management Chris Donnachie said in a news release. “The first Irish Open Online held in 2020 was a huge success, which we have planned to build on this year.”

A look at the partypoker Main Event

Players should expect some nice action from the series, which paid out €5.6 million to players in 2020. Brazil’s Pablo Brito Silva claimed the Main Event title, topping a field of 2,945 players to win €462,100. Silva was one of 22 champions who won events in the series.

The full 2021 series schedule includes a mix of No Limit Hold’em, Progressive Knockouts, and Pot Limit Omaha events.

The €1,100 Main Event comes with a €1 million guarantee and Day 1A kicks off on March 28. Two more starting flights are scheduled for April 4 and 5 in the three-day event. The tournament wraps up on April 7.

The Main Event winner not only earns the cash prize, but also a custom-made Irish Open trophy. Trophies will also be awarded to the winners of 11 other championship events.

Other partypoker Irish Open Online highlights

This year’s Irish Open Online also introduces a new event beginning on the same day as Day 1A of the Main Event. The Grand Prix Ireland is a €55 eight-max progressive knockout (PKO) event with a €250,000 guarantee.

The Grand Prix features nine starting flights between March 28 and April 5. Day 2 takes place the same day as the final flight with the final table concluding on April 6.

PKOs have become popular events with some interesting twists to a traditional bounty tournament. Instead of claiming an opponent’s complete bounty, only a portion goes to the winning player.

The other portion is added to the winning player’s bounty prize. This means bounties become more valuable the deeper a player gets in the event.

Another Irish Open event is the €530 JP Masters, a two-day event with a €250,000 guarantee. The tournament also features three starting flights beginning April 2.

The €320 Heads Up tournament promises a €25,000 guarantee and begins March 30. Most events also feature mini versions for those with smaller bankrolls. Here’s a look at the complete schedule:

Partypoker plans numerous satellites

Beyond mini options, partypoker is once again ramping up qualifiers to gain entry to major events. For the Main Event, satellites begin at just €0.01 with finals held every Sunday before the start of the festival. The finals guarantee 30 seats every week.

Players advancing in these “centrolls” move on to €1.10 buy-in Phase 1 events and then to the €11 Phase 2. Those who advance there then head to the weekly satellite final.

There is no direct buy-in to the final, so no player reaching that stage will pay more than €11. Additionally, €109 mega satellites for the Main Event will run before each Day 1.

More action underway at partypoker

It’s been a busy few weeks for partypoker. The MILLIONS Online runs through March 9 with $17.55 million guaranteed.

The site also recently announced another nice series in conjunction with the World Poker Tour. The WPT500 features 25 events running March 7-23 with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $5,000.

This is the second online WPT500 and players will find two championship events. Each of those comes with a $1 million guarantee.

The site also recently released a new online poker tutor, MyGame Whiz. The tool is meant to help newer players improve their skills and bring more recreational players into the game.

Two Big Championship Events With $1M Guarantees Highlight Partypoker WPT500 Schedule

The World Poker Tour is once again returning to partypoker. The WPT500 is the tour’s lower buy-in series and the upcoming online version offers plenty of bang for the buck.

Players will find 25 events running March 7-23, this time with two championship events – each featuring $1 million guaranteed. Beyond those, there are also events planned for all bankrolls with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $5,000.

The series offers just the latest opportunity for online poker players to win a slice of WPT glory at partypoker.

“The WPT500 brand is synonymous with huge prize pools, an accessible buy-in and that coveted WPT title, so it’s the perfect addition to the 2021 online calendar,” partypoker head of poker room management Chris Donnachie said in a news release.

Highlights of the WPT500 series at partypoker

The partypoker WPT500 series jumps straight to the high-profile action right from the start. Day 1A of the $530 Eight-Max kicks off the series on March 7 with $1 million guaranteed.

With nine starting flights planned, there are plenty of opportunities for players to participate in. Day 2 is set for March 15 with the final table playing out the following day.

That will be streamed live on partypoker’s Twitch channel with commentary provided in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.

Last year’s WPT500 ended in a four-handed deal with Fabio Sperling claiming the top prize of $281,125. Now players have twice the opportunities to win a WPT500 championship.

“This year’s series follows the success of the first ever online WPT500 back in May 2020, which saw as many as 4,828 entries into the tournament,” Donnachie said. “We’re excited to be doubling down on the event this time round, running both regular and knockout versions of the tournament.”

This year, the schedule’s focus shifts to the progressive knockout (PKO) format on March 15. That date brings the start of the $530 WPT500 Eight-Max PKO with a $1 million guarantee.

Players will find eight starting flights before Day 2 runs on March 22 and the final table on March 23.

A PKO event is a twist on a traditional bounty tournament. Once a player knocks another player out, the winner banks only a portion of the bounty. The other portion is added to the winning player’s bounty.

This makes for some unique fun as players see bounty values rise throughout the tournament. The events have become popular and the WPT500 offers several of these for players getting in the action.

A look at the partypoker side events

The rest of the schedule offers something for everyone including Six-Max, Seven-Max, Eight-Max, Mix-Max, and other PKO events.

The $55 Super50 Knockout kicks off on March 7 with a $400,000 guaranteed prize pool. The eight-max three-day PKO tournament features eight starting flights with the final day set for March 16. Day 2 plays out on March 22 with the final table on March 23.

Players with larger bankrolls may want to check out the $3,200 High Roller. That event begins March 9 and has a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

Partypoker Offering MILLIONS Online Tickets Into Major Events for Players of All Bankrolls

Partypoker’s MILLIONS Online returns Feb. 13 to March 9 with 28 events and features an overall guarantee of $17.55 million.

With Partypoker’s MILLIONS Online now underway, players of all bankrolls can get in the action. The site is offering numerous ways to win seats into several of the series’ biggest events.

The series runs through March 9 with the $5,300 Main Event on Feb. 21 featuring a $5 million guarantee. The same day, a mega satellite also guarantees 50 seats for entry into feed into Day 1A.

Another mega satellite with 50 more seats guaranteed runs Feb. 28, feeding into Day 1B on the same day.

“The partypoker satellite system is amazing,” Team partypoker’s Louise Butler said in a news release. “As a low- and mid-stakes grinder, I’m really excited to play them and try to win my way into some exciting bigger buy-in events.”

Plenty of Main Event opportunities at partypoker

Partypoker has worked to include players of all levels in major series in recent years. That has included some major success stories in some of its recent series with satellite opportunities beginning at just $0.01.

For the Main Event, these “centrolls” feed into the $5.50 Phase 1 qualifiers. Those are followed by $55 Phase 2 events and culminate with the $530 Sunday final.

Several players have already scored Main Event tickets via this route. Christian Galvan progressed through these stages before finishing off the Sunday final to earn a Main Event seat.

In another Sunday final, Emanuel Botoc, Leonard Modder, and Jeffrey Mulder all managed to qualify. These players earned their spots through $5.50 satellites. Douglas Ferreira makes his way into the Main Event after buying into a $55 satellite.

More qualifying chances in big buy-in events

Players have numerous qualifying chances beyond just the Main Event. The centroll action continues for other events as well.

The $25,500 Super High Rollers come with a $1 million prize pool guarantee per event. On Feb. 22, players can win four seats feeding into the Six-Max Super High Roller on Feb. 23. Three more seats are up for grabs on March 1.

The $25,000 Seven-Max Super High Roller with a $1 million guarantee then runs March 2. These satellites have no direct buy-in for the final, meaning the maximum a player can pay to win a seat is $265.

In the $10,300 High Roller, players will also find a $1 million guarantee with the two-day event running March 7. A mega satellite awards 20 seats on the same day.

Players can even earn a bargain entry in the $102,000 Mega High Roller with a $3 million guarantee. Five seats are on the line when Day 1 kicks off on March 8.

There is no direct buy-in to the satellite final for this event. The maximum a player will spend to win a seat into the daily Phase 2 qualifiers is $1,050. Here’s a ook at the complete series schedule.

Partypoker MyGame ‘Whiz’ Aims to Help Players Improve, Attract New Players to Game

Partypoker is hoping to help online poker players make fewer mistakes and improve their game with the recent release of MyGame Whiz.

What player hasn’t made a mistake at the table and wished things had gone differently? Partypoker is hoping to help online poker players make fewer mistakes and improve their game with the recent release of MyGame Whiz.

The new feature is an enhancement of the MyGame tool with the goal of helping players boost their poker skills. MyGame Whiz is a poker personal trainer, helping players to hopefully reach a higher level and avoid common errors.

That includes one-on-one communication for a truly personalized experience. Partypoker developers hope this gives players the chance to have more fun and find more success.

“Whiz studies your game style, including each hand and how you play,” partypoker marketing director Vadim Soloveychik told PokerScout.

“Whiz will only assess your own hand history and will not study hands played by opponents. It then uses your personal hand history to create tips and suggestions on how to improve and the overall strategy the player needs to consider.”

How does partypoker’s MyGame Whiz work?

Whiz simplifies MyGame into a small, clean, intuitive package, offering key pieces of advice and targeted messages in real time at the end of a hand after important moments; both winning and losing.

Players receive messages targeted specifically at them based on actions at the table. Not all players will be sent the same messages. Whiz also offers interactive commentary as a player competes.

The feature also allows players to replay, save, and share hands. The more hands played, the better the advice Whiz can give based on a wider range of situations.

Players can ask MyGame Whiz questions as well. It’s an easy platform for working on skills and learning how to maximize a player’s style.

“Whether a player likes to play aggressively or play tight, whether they are starting with a large or small bankroll,” Soloveychik says, “or even if they are still trying to work out the basics of the game, Whiz will be able to work out the right strategy for that individual player.”

Reachomg out to new online players with personalized learning experience

In recent years, partypoker has worked to increase the number of recreational players entering the online poker player pool. That’s ranged from numerous low-cost major tournament qualifiers to more mobile and social gaming aspects in the platform.

Party now hopes MyGame Whiz adds to those efforts. Major barriers to entry for new players, the company notes, is fear of not understanding the game, losing to pros, and underperforming.

Whiz seeks to combat these issues with instant feedback. The application is a dynamic tool that works for each player in their own individual way.

“Even the most experienced and successful players had to start somewhere, and we want poker to be an inclusive game,” Soloveychik says.

“That’s why we decided to create something that would help players at the beginning of their poker journey, when they are less familiar with the experience of playing online poker. We want to remove any fear new players may have regarding their skill level and knowledge.”

In essence, Whiz functions as a poker tutor. There are even report cards to help a player track his or her progress.

Soloveychik said the application can help inexperienced players who may have less time to study to improve. New players can gain confidence in the early stages of their poker journey by seeing real analysis by actually playing.

“This is based on extensive player feedback, where players have often told us they feel they might be out of their comfort zone when they first start to play the game,” Soloveychik says.

“Whiz changes that with easy to use, bespoke poker training, eliminating the uncertainty and helping you learn the game and strategy behind it in a faster and easier way.”

A long term partypoker learning tool

With so many bells and whistles, party developers hope players can utilize the feature over a lengthy period of time. Whiz allows players to continually gauge their own play and adjust accordingly.

The MyGame feature already allowed players to see their rankings based on game theory optimization (GTO) in the form of seven levels:

  • Rookie
  • Social
  • Intermediate
  • Solid
  • Advanced
  • Pro
  • Elite Pro

The addition of Whiz is meant to build on that component. The company already has plans to add new features, including social sharing and additional missions. So far, the feature is only available on the software client and not on mobile.

Soloveychik says the company received “overwhelmingly positive feedback” during Whiz’s testing phase. Party plans to continually improve and expand the tips and learning as well as add more animations.

“There are no limits to how players can continue to test themselves, complete missions, and learn tips and tricks, all based on their own gameplay,” Soloveychik says. “This is no ordinary one-size-fits-all tutor; this is bespoke poker tutor training straight from the Whiz to you.

“This ensures the player strides into their next poker game with their head held high and they will be ready to play. We can’t wait for players all over the world to try Whiz for themselves and become the poker player they were born to be.”

Partypoker MILLIONS Online Returns with Huge Payouts; KO Series Main Events Wrap Up

Partypoker’s MILLIONS Online returns Feb. 13 to March 9 with 28 events and features an overall guarantee of $17.55 million.

After record-breaking prize pools in two previous editions, partypoker’s MILLIONS Online returns in February. The festival runs Feb. 13 to March 9 with 28 events and features $17.55 million guaranteed.

In recent years, the MILLIONS series has become one of partypoker LIVE’s most successful tours. The online version is designed to replicate the live poker experience as much as possible. Just like in a live tournament, real names are used at the tables.

Partypoker is also again making it easy for players of every bankroll to get in the action with numerous satellites. There should be plenty of action for all kinds of players.

“We’re extremely proud to be hosting yet another online leg of the world-renowned MILLIONS tour,” partypoker’s head of poker room management Chris Donnachie said in a news release.

“The satellite framework this year has been designed with a view to make both the Main Event and Mini Main Event even more accessible to players of all buy-in levels.”

Highlights from partypoker MILLIONS

The $5,300 Main Event highlights the MILLIONS Online series with a $5 million guaranteed prize pool. Day 1A kicks off Feb. 21 with Day 1B on Feb. 28. There will then be three more days of play with the final table set for March 3.

On top of the first-place cash, the winner also receives a trophy to mark his or her achievement. Benjamin “frenchsniperr” Chalot walked away with the top prize of $2.3 million in the last MILLIONS Online Main Event. All four top finishers claimed seven-figure prizes.

Players with smaller bankrolls also can look forward to several smaller buy-in events. The series begins with Day 1A of the $1,100 Mini Main Event on Feb. 13 with a $1 million guarantee.

Two flights will be held on consecutive days before three more days of action. That culminates in the final table playing out on Feb. 17.

Mini Main Event qualifiers start at just one cent, with 20 seats currently offered in satellite finals on Sundays. The centrolls feed into $1.10 and $11 phases with no direct buy-in to the phase tournament finals.

Players can look forward to several other big events. A few of those on the schedule include:

  • $1,050 Opener – A two-day Progressive Knockout (PKO) event running Feb. 19-21, with a $500,000 guarantee.
  • $1,600 NLHE Six-Max Knockout – A two-day event on Feb. 17 with a $250,000 guarantee.
  • $1,050 NLHE Warmup – This two-day PKO event with $500,000 guaranteed features three starting flights beginning on Feb. 26.
  • $1,050 NLHE Closer – One of the final events with three starting flights beginning March 5. The PKO event features $500,000 guaranteed.
  • High Rollers – The series features several big buy-in events including a $102,000 Mega High Roller with a $3 million guarantee.

Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

Partypoker ramping up MILLIONS qualifying opportunities again

Once again, partypoker is hoping to provide MILLIONS opportunities to players of all levels. In 2018, “Scarmak3r” showed exactly how lower buy-ins can turn into large prizes.

Scarmak3r banked $1.4 million after qualifying for just $5.50 and then finishing third in the Main Event.

Satellites feeding into the series are ongoing with 10 Main Event seats guaranteed this Sunday. More satellites will also be added before the start of the tournament.

Players can qualify for the Main Event for as little as $0.01 with centrolls running multiple times daily. These events feed into $5.50 satellites and then a $55 phase, which leads to the Sunday final. There isn’t a direct buy-in into the final, so no player qualifying in this route will spend more than $55.

UK-based Christian Galvan has already scored big via qualifiers. After placing first in the centroll, $5.50, and $55 stages, he finished fifth in last Sunday’s final for a Main Event seat.

“One of my favorite things about poker is the zero-to-hero stories we hear on a regular basis,” Team partypoker’s Patrick Leonard said. “When I started playing, somebody would qualify for a $5,000 event from a $1,000 satellite and it was a great story when they went on to the final table.

“Recently, at partypoker, we’ve seen numerous people qualify for huge events for as little as a penny and win life-changing amounts. MILLIONS Online is always an amazing tournament and any player with a bankroll of $0.01 or more should get ready.”

KO Series wraps up with big scores for Main Event winners

It’s been a busy time for partypoker. The KO Series concluded on Jan. 19 with three main events crowning a champion and taking home a combined $185,003.

In the $1,050 Main Event, “Kabuzzz” came out on top for $76,013. With bounties of $68,049, Kabuzzzz’s payout reached $144,062.

In the $109 Mini Main Event, “Scelevco” took the title for a total of $35,800. “Somuchfun” took down the $11 Micro Main Event for $5,141.
