Partypoker Roundup: WPT Rolls On As Brazilians Come Up Big; Main Event Qualifiers Continue

The WPT announced this week that the company’s televised events are now available to millions more players across Europe.

The World Poker Tour’s World Online Championships continue playing out at partypoker through Sept. 14. The WPT500 recently crowned a champion and Brazilians continue to dominate the series.

The Seven-Max Championship also paid out a winner and more main event qualifiers are in the works. Here’s a look at some highlights from the series over the last week.

Championship winners named this week 

Two big winners were crowned in the series over the last few days. Brazil’s Eder Campana took first in the $2,100 buy-in WPT Seven-Max Championship on Monday, topping a field of 489 players.

Campana scored a total payout of $169,957 in the progressive knockout (PKO) event.

In the $530 WPT500 on Tuesday, Brazilian player Pedro Cavalieri took the victory for a total payout of $153,503. He beat a field of 2,295 entries to take the largest share of a $1.1 million prize pool.

All nine finalists secured at least $13,212 and when heads-up, Cavalieri agreed a deal with Austria’s Thomas Hueber. Cavalieri claimed an extra $10,000 along with the title.

The final table was streamed live on partypoker’s Twitch channel, partypokerTV.

A look at some other winners so far

A few more players rose to the top over the last couple weeks. In the $225 Opener, Brazil’s Luiz Orrico came out on top for $93,752.

The event produced 4,777 entries with another Brazilian, Luiz Zattar Martins Jr., finishing runner-up for $68,727. Those numbers include prize payouts and bounties from the PKO event.

Brazilians have seen some major success in online tournament series in recent weeks. That now continues at partypoker with three of the top five spots in the Opener going to players from the land of samba and sun.

A Brazilian player also won the $22 Mini Opener. Ricardo Oliveira Barreto took home $17,424 for taking the title. In the $1,050 WPT Grand (Phase Final), American Elio Fox found the winner’s circle for $58,837. The event attracted 307 entries for a  prize pool of $308,994.

Team partypoker members found some winnings in this one as well. Isaac Haxton took sixth for $10,864 and Jaime Staples finished 11th for $4,912.

In the $215 WPT Super, Duarte Ranhada Da Cunha Afonso took the title for $15,000. In the $320 version, Ihar Tsaryk of Belarus won a combined $21,100 for his efforts.

The week ahead

Plenty of action remains in the week ahead with some major events still on tap. Two starting flights remain in the $5,300 Main Event, running Sept. 5 and 12.

The championship event comes with a $5 million guarantee and Day 2 is set for Sept. 13 and the final one day later.  The first starting flight ran last Sunday with Hungary’s Andras Nemeth finishing as chip leader. A total of 59 players moved on to Day 2.

Some high rollers and huge guarantees are also ahead in the final two weeks. Here’s a look at a few big remaining events:

  • $2,100 Six-Max Championship (PKO) – Sept. 4-6, $1 million guaranteed
  • $25,500 Super High Roller Championship – Sept. 5, $1 million guaranteed
  • $2,100 Mix-Max Championship (PKO) – Sept. 11-12, $1 million guaranteed
  • $2,100 Turbo Championship – Sept. 12-13, $200,000 guaranteed

Still time to qualify for WPT Main Event

Players of all bankrolls still have the chance to get in the championship event. Centroll feeder satellites continue daily and another mega satellite is planned for Sunday.

Centrolls award at least 15 tickets to the $4.40 buy-in Phase 1. Players making their way through that stage go into the $22 buy-in Phase 2.

That’s followed by the $109 Phase 3, which leads into the weekly final. Players can also buy into the $530 mega satellite directly, awarding as many as 50 tickets.

Some Team partypoker pros have already secured seats via satellite. Jeff Gross won his place after entering the satellite tree at Phase 3. He’s currently running a promotion giving away a qualifying opportunity as well.

 

Jaime Staples also qualified for the WPT Mini Main Event via the satellite route. The $1,050 Mini and $109 Micro run concurrently with the Main Event, guaranteeing $1 million and $300,000 respectively.

Partypoker WPT Roundup: More Satellite Seats, Player of Series Cash, Big Winners So Far

The World Poker Tour is heading to France and Italy next year as the company announced three stops in the countries for 2023 last week.

The WPT World Online Championships Main Event kicks off this week at partypoker. The site is now giving even more players the chance to participate through the weekly mega satellite final.

The series runs through Sept. 14 with the $5,300 Main Event comes with a $5 million guarantee. Day 1A plays out on  Sunday with starting flights continuing for the next two Sundays. Day 2 is set for Sept. 13 with the final two days on Sept. 14-15.

Along with adding additional satellite seats, partypoker has also announced some nice cash up for grabs for the Player of the Championships. Here’s a look at some of the news surrounding the series.

Partypoker adds 50 extra satellite tickets

The WOCs offer players of all bankrolls the opportunity to qualify. Partypoker recently added even more qualifying opportunities with $0.01 feeder satellites running daily and satellite finals held every Sunday.

The centrolls award at least 15 tickets to the $4.40 buy-in Phase 1. Players making their way through that stage go into the $22 buy-in Phase 2. That’s followed by the $109 Phase 3.

This leads into the weekly final. Players can choose which phase best suits their bankroll and can also buy into the weekly final directly for $530.

This week, the number of Day 1A tickets given away has increased to as many as 50. This gives more players the chance to compete in the series’ highlight.

Team partypoker’s Jeff Gross is one of many who have claimed a Main Event entry via satellite. He won his spot in the tournament after entering at Phase 3.

“The satellites for major events on partypoker have always provided some of the best value in online poker,” Gross said in a news release. “This WPT series is no different, with a variety of phase entry points. I was fortunate enough to grab my seat from the $109 phase and can’t wait to play in the Main Event.”

Extras for the partypoker WOC champion

On top of the large cash prize, the new WOC champion scores some additional rewards. That includes:

  • name engraved on Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup
  • replica of the WPT trophy
  • Hublot watch
  • entry into the WPT Champions Club

Mini and Micro versions of the tournament also run concurrently with the WPT Main Event. The Mini comes with a $1,050 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee. The $109 Micro features a $300,000 guarantee.

The Main Event and other key events will be live-streamed on partypokerTV, partypoker’s Twitch channel.

Player of series pays out $50K

Beyond the added satellites, partypoker also announced prizes for the WPT Player of the Championships leaderboard.

As many as 50 players will share $50,000 in cash prizes. The overall winner claiming the top payout of $10,000.

Players earn points by cashing in WOC events. Even finishing in the standings earns a player at least $100.

Sonnert wins WPT Omaha Championship

At the tables, several events are already in the books. Sweden’s Bengt Sonnert took down the $2,100 WPT Omaha Championship on Monday for $71,239.

A total of 24 players reached Day 2, including Team partypoker’s Joao Simao, who finished ninth. He recently spoke with PokerScout about the series and his poker life.

Sonnert eventually beat Denmark’s Patrick Hyllegaard heads-up to claim the title. Hyllegaard scored $49,032 for runner-up.

Sergiy Yashchur took down the first event of the series, the WPT Pro Hunt.

Sergiy Yashchur wins WPT Pro Hunt

The $33 WPT Pro Hunt kicked off the series this year. Sergiy Yashchur topped a field of 1,374 players to take the title for $5,340.

The event topped the guarantee for a prize pool of $41,220. Along with his winnings, the Ukrainian banked a free $5,300 seat into the WOC Main Event.

Yashchur is something of a freeroll and low-stakes specialist. He’s a regular tournament ticket winner for larger buy-in events. It was a bit out of the norm for Yashchur to play in an event like the Pro Hunt. The win added to quite a successful week.

“I found out about this tournament about 10 days before it started,” he told partypoker. “Prior to this tournament, I had only played three tournaments that week; one of which was the Double Jab at partypoker.

“I had free tickets for all three tournaments, and I reached the final table of all three! After that, I decided to play the WPT Pro Hunt and made it a streak of four final tables in a row.”

After reaching the final table, Yashchur overcame a 2-to-1 chip deficit heads-up against Laust Mejer Nielsen. To complete the victory, he called all in with a flush draw against Nielsen’s two pair.

“I was in a stupor for a couple of minutes before running to wake my wife,” Yashchur says. “Her first words were to ask what currency my prize money was in! Neither of us could sleep. Instead of celebrating the next day, we decided to simply go to the river with our children for a day out in town.”

Brazilian Storm: Partypoker’s Joao Simao Discusses WPT Series, Life in Poker, & More

PokerScout spoke with Team partypoker's Joao Simao about the WPT World Online Poker Championships, the industry, Brazil, and more.

Team partypoker’s Joao Simao remembers watching clips of the World Poker Tour on YouTube when he was younger. He dreamed of one day getting his own shot to chase some WPT glory.

That opportunity is now playing out on the site for Simao and others with the WPT World Online Championships running on the site through Sept. 14. The series once again offers players a close facsimile of a live WPT tournament.

“To have the chance to play in WPT events on partypoker is amazing, especially as we have not had many live tournaments in the last year,” he says.

“I particularly love the event formats with multiple day one flights, like the $215 Opener event. I will grind all the WPT schedule and hope to win another WPT title, as I did in the WPT Online Series in May.”

Simao spoke this week with PokerScout about the series and more.

Winning big in online poker

The 32-year-old poker pro from Brazil has been among the top online players in the world the last several years. It’s also been a nice online run for Simao in 2021.

At the beginning of August, Simao scored his first World Series of Poker bracelet. He took down a $1,111 event online for $206,075.

He’s now hoping that success continues with the WPT Online. Adding his name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup would be a dream come true.

“I’m a hunter of event titles,” Simao says. “I won a WPT PLO event in May on partypoker and now I’m looking to go for more titles because the feeling was incredible, and I want more of it.”

Simao’s list of accomplishments is long. He’s been the top-ranked online poker player in the world. At the MILLIONS Germany festival in February 2018, Simao scored three six-figure cashes in a five-day span. His poker resumé also includes nine POWERFEST titles as well.

Simao is the second most-successful Brazilian player ever. A nice run in the current WPT events isn’t out of the cards for this poker shark.

A life in poker

The game of poker has been good to Simao and he certainly appears to love the game. However, in recent years he’s let off the gas a bit, enjoying some of his other interests outside the game.

“I used to be more serious about my routine,” he says. “Now, I play tennis or go to the gym or wakesurf. I try to stay happy and take it easy to allow me to enjoy the session.”

When not playing online poker, Simao’s interests include spending time with family and friends. Sports also occupy some of his time.

Some business opportunities have recently become a new challenge and the poker phenomenon is always interested in learning new things.

Anyone paying attention to the poker world of late may have noticed the success of Brazilian players. Players from Simao’s home country continue to rack up big wins and scores. He’s excited to see so many taking up the game and finding success.

“Brazil is crushing it at the moment, and I don’t see this changing, because we are working as a community,” he says. “I believe in this power – the Brazilian storm!”

The future of the game; an online poker tip

As a longtime online poker player, where does Simao see the industry in 10 years? He believes keeping recreational players involved in the industry is a must.

“I hope to see a decent ecosystem where the recreational players have a chance to win, without needing to use HUDs, et cetera,” he says. “Yes, they are open for everyone, but recreational players want to have fun and want to play poker, not to operate a program or a simulation.

“We all need recreational players for a healthy ecosystem and for the game to continue to grow. I think we should deliver what they want in a fun and fair model. Therefore, I support many of partypoker’s decisions recently that are looking out for the interests of recreational players.”

That has included running more qualifiers. Many of these, such as in the current WPT series, run for as little as $0.01. The site has also geared its mobile app and software more toward social gaming players.

With so many recreational players entering the game, what is one tip Simao would offer new players?

“Be patient, but don’t be lazy,” he says. “Being patient means enjoying the ride at the table, living in the moment, and avoiding getting anxious and tired due to spending too many hours in front of the computer.”

WPT World Online Championships Kick Off at Partypoker This Week

The World Poker Tour is heading to France and Italy next year as the company announced three stops in the countries for 2023 last week.

Online poker players looking to score some World Poker Tour glory will head to partypoker over the next month. The start of this year’s WPT World Online Championships kicks off on Aug. 12 and runs through Sept 14.

A big part of partypoker’s series efforts over the last few years is getting players of all levels and bankrolls involved. That continues this month with the WPT events, offering all types of players a shot to become a WPT champion.

“After a quiet summer, like most players, I’m excited to play poker again,” Team partypoker’s Louise Butler said in a news release. “The schedule for the WPT World Online Championships looks amazing. I love that there are mini and micro versions of events so players of all bankrolls will have a chance to become a WPT champion.”

Partypoker offers big bucks in WPT openers

The World Online Championships festival is once again an official Season XIX WPT Main Tour event. Players will find buy-ins ranging from $5.50 to $25,500 with a mix of tournament structures and styles.

Fittingly, the $215 Opener and $22 Mini Opener get the series underway on Thursday. The Opener offers some nice value with a guarantee of $1 million.

Party is offering plenty of chances to enter, with several starting flights running before the final day on Aug. 23.The Mini Opener runs on the same dates and comes with a $200,000 guarantee.

A look at the Main Event 

Attention turns to the WPT Main Event on Aug. 29 when the three-day event gets underway. The championship event comes with a $5 million guarantee.

Starting flights run on three consecutive Sundays and also include Sept. 5 and 12. Day 2 is set for Sept. 13 with the final table playing out on the final day of the series.

The Main Event winner scores more than the cash prize. That includes the champion getting his or her name engraved on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

The winner also receives a replica of the trophy, a Hublot watch, and entry to the WPT Champions Club.

Players can qualify for the WPT Main Event for just a single cent. Centrolls run daily, awarding at least 15 tickets to the $4.40 buy-in Phase 1.

Players passing through that stage head into the $22 buy-in Phase 2, which is followed by the $109 Phase 3. This leads into the weekly Sunday final, with at least 20 Main Event Day 1A tickets awarded.

There will also be Mini and Micro versions of the WPT Main Event. Players can buy into the Mini Main Event for $1,050 to play for a $1 million guarantee. The $109 Micro also guarantees $250,000.

The Main Event and other key events will also be streamed live on partypokerTV, the site’s Twitch channel.

Other series highlights

The WPT500 is another important event on the schedule. The $530 buy-in, two-day event begins Aug. 22 and offers a $1 million guarantee.

Starting flights run throughout the following week before the final day on Aug. 30. The $530 WPT500 Knockout also runs from Aug. 31 to Sept. 7. The progressive knockout (PKO) event guarantees a $1 million prize pool.

In total, players will find eight WPT championship events and here’s a look at all of those:

WPT World Championships Returns To Partypoker With $5M Guarantee

The WPT World Online Championships return to partypoker Aug. 13 to Sept. 15 featuring a $3,200 Main Event with a $5 million guarantee.

The WPT World Online Championships are back again at partypoker in August and September, allowing players around the world to battle for a title. The series runs Aug. 13 to Sept. 15, highlighted by the $3,200 Main Event with a $5 million guarantee.

The festival offers players once again a chance at some online WPT glory.

“The WPT World Online Championships are back and I can’t wait to play,” Team partypoker’s Patrick Leonard said in a news release. “The WPT Main Event should be a great tournament with satellites running now.”

What to expect from the WPT partypoker action

The main event plays out over four days, with starting flights running on three consecutive Sundays beginning Aug. 29. Day 2 is set for Sept. 13 with the final two days on Sept. 14-15.

Partypoker is once again trying to get players of all bankrolls involved. Players can qualify for just a penny, with centrolls already running and satellite finals held every Sunday.

The $0.01 satellites award at least 15 tickets to the $4.40 buy-in Phase 1. Players can then advance to a $22 buy-in Phase 2.

That’s then followed by the $109 Phase 3. This leads into the weekly final, where 20 Main Event Day 1A tickets will be awarded.

In 2020, the United Kingdom’s Phil Mighall became the inaugural main event champion. He topped a field of 1,011 players to win $1.6 million.

Partypoker has announced one more event so far as part of the series. The $33 WPT Pro Hunt features a $30,000 guarantee and a progressive knockout format.

Team partypoker pros and other high-profile players will be out in force during the event. The tournament also comes with a charity angle, with 20% of the prize pool being donated.

Some of those competing include Team partypoker’s Jaime Staples, Courtney Gee, Patrick Leonard, Joao Simao, Joni Jouhkimainen, and Mikita Bodyakovskiy.

Knocking out a pro will also bring some bonus prizes for players, including $109 tickets to main event satellite finals. The tournament winner also automatically earns an entry into the main event.

Hyllegaard takes down Grand Prix High Roller

The action continues this month in the partypoker Grand Prix and runs through Aug. 2. Denmark’s Patrick Hyllegaard is one of the latest winners after winning the $530 Six-Max High Roller.

The event produced a field of 1,105 entries and Hyllegaard scored $67,197. The victory came five months after taking down a $320 MILLIONS Online Six-Max Turbo.

Christian Rudolph Scores Partypoker WPT Online Main Event; Site Offers Boosted Cashback

The WPT Online Series wrapped up at partypoker with Christian Rudolph winning the Main Event.

The WPT Online Series came to a close on June 2 with the $3,200 Main Event coming to an end. The event featured $3 million guaranteed with Christian Rudolph coming out on top.

Some other big names also rose to the top during the series at partypoker. Along with some big tournament action, party has also announced a nice cashback promotion for cash game players.

Rudolph shines in WPT Main Event

For his win, Rudolph becomes the first WPT champion of Season XIX. The tour recently announced its 2021 dates and Rudolph moves to the top of the Player of the Year standings.

He began the final table in the middle of the pack before surging ahead. The win came after a heads-up deal with Brazilian player Fabiano Kovalski.

Going into heads-up play, Rudolph held 150 million chips to Kovalski’s 63 million. That flipped at one point, but Rudolph later reclaimed the chip lead. The players then struck a deal that left $30,000 extra for the eventual champion.

Play continued with Rudolph eventually taking the title and Kovalski collecting $401,792 for runner-up. Canada’s Daniel Dvoress scored $249,324 for third.

Rudolph adds to a long list of poker achievements including winning a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2020. In the WSOP Online, he took down the $25,000 Poker Players Championship for $1.8 million.

The German poker star has more than $4.8 million in live tournament winnings. He has millions more online and now also adds his name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

Wiktor Malinowski takes down Super High Roller for $354k

Many may remember Wiktor Malinowski for his heads-up battle earlier this year with Fedor Holz. While he may be better known for high stakes cash games, he appears to have tournament skills as well.

Malinowski won the $25,500 Super High Roller for $354,791. The event attracted 39 players, coming up just one player short of the $1 million guarantee.

With two players remaining, Malinowski battled Joao Vieira for the title. With no deal struck, Malinowski came out on top for $354,791 with Vieira scoring $217,902 for second.

The WPT Online was a nice series for Malinowski. Earlier, he finished runner-up in the $10,300 WPT High Roller $166,429.

partypoker offers players 10% cashback

Cash game and fastforward players are in store to claim an additional 10% cashback at partypoker. The promotion begins June 7 and runs four weeks with money awarded weekly.

“By offering our loyal players an additional 10% cashback, we are giving back more to players, and helping players of all levels enjoy more games on partypoker,” partypoker director Vadim Soloveychik said in a news release.

“Busier cash game and fastforward tables during the traditionally lower-volume summer season will be great for everybody.”

Players who rack up 600 cashback points in a week in any game type are eligible for the boosted cashback.

Players earning 600 points earn 40% total cashback on their cash game and fastforward play. Those who earn 1,200 points receive a total of 50% cashback on their ring game play.

Players earn 1 point for every $1 in rake they generate. Points are earned through all game types, not just cash games or fastforward. Cashback reward payouts are made every Tuesday during the promotion.

“It’s great to see partypoker give back even more to cash game players,” Team partypoker’s Jaime Staples said. “I think we are doing a good thing here to continue to promote and grow cash games. It has always been an important part of poker, and needs to grow alongside tournaments, SPINS games, and sit & gos.”

Partypoker’s “Hot Tables” are already proving popular for ring game players. The promotion has generated more than 325,000 boosted pots in just over two months. The cash game promotions now continue with some nice cash returned to players.

WPT Online Series Update: Big Names Score, Satellite Qualifiers Advance at Partypoker 

The WPT Online is coming to partypoker and the site released the official schedule on Tuesday with plenty of action running May 14 to June 2.

The WPT Online rolls on at partypoker and the Main Event is underway with two starting flights remaining. The series runs through June 2 and some big names have already produced some nice results.

The $3,200 Main Event guarantees a $3 million prize pool. More starting flights and qualifiers are in the works in the coming days as well as other interesting side events.

“We have already seen some fantastic performances in this year’s WPT Online Series,” partypoker head of poker room management Chris Donnachie said. “We’re delighted to give players of all bankrolls yet more chances to get involved in the WPT Main Event and become a WPT champion.”

WPT action rolls on at partypoker

Day 1A of the Main Event played out on May 23. Connor Drinan held the lead at the end of the day with a stack of more than 3.84 million chips.

Drinan has more than $11 million in tournament winnings including taking down a WSOP Online event in September for $1.4 million. He now hopes to add his name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

Day 1A featured 521 players with 78 advancing to Day 2. Partypoker has worked to incorporate satellites for every bankroll and several players have done well.

Connor Drinan finished Day 1A as chip leader WPT Online Main Event.

Six players who won a seat in the 50x seat mega satellite moved on to Day 2. Another mega satellite is set for May 30 just before Day 1B on the same day. Players can qualify for just a single cent.

A Day 1 turbo satellite also plays out May 31 with Day 2 later the same day. Day 3 is scheduled for the following day and the final table will play to a finish on June 2.

The final table will be streamed live on partypoker’s Twitch channel.

A look at some other events

In other action, Brazil’s took down the WPT500 Knockout, which featured a $1 million guarantee. Caio Pessagno topped a field of 2,054 players for a payday of $102,704.

There have been some other nice performances so far.  Another Brazilian, Douglas Souza, won the $33 WPT Pro Hunt on the opening day of the series, winning $5,748. Souza also won a seat in the Main Event.

Fritjof Torstensson took the victory in the WPT Mini Main Event for $78,769. Sweden’s Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson also won the $10,300 WPT High Roller for $249,791 on May 24. That event attracted 95 players with 17 returning for Day 2.

Mattsson has won more than 230 online poker tournaments and battled cash game specialist Wiktor Malinowski heads-up for the title. Malinowksi scored $166,429 for runner-up.

More WPT action ahead at partypoker

Plenty of WPT action remains at partypoker beyond the Main Event. Several starting flights are planned for another WPT500 event. The tournament  concludes on June 1 and features a $1 million guarantee.

The $300 WPT Closer is also set for May 31 with $150,000 guaranteed. The $30 Mini version features $50,000 guaranteed and $5 Micro comes with a $15,000 guarantee.

“There is still more to come too,” Donnachie said. “The hallmark WPT Main Event is complemented by an extensive range of exciting events, and I’m sure we will have many more great stories as we approach the conclusion of the series.”

Partypoker Offers Free Cash With Hot Tables, Magic Cards; More Tournament Series Ahead

Partypoker has boosted Hot Tables with prizes now up to $1,000. The site also launched Magic Cards and more tournament series are planned.

Hot Tables are heating up again at partypoker. The feature now gives cash and fastforward players even more chances to win boosted prizes, up to $1,000.

With Hot Tables, players are randomly selected for prizes, adding extra fun and boosted pots to players at any possible time.

Along with Hot Tables, the site has also added another new promotion and has more tournament series in the works.

A look at partypoker Hot Tables

More than 250,000 Hot Tables have been triggered since the feature debuted in March. Partypoker is now boosting thousands of cash games and fastforward hands every day.

Hot Tables apply to both No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha games. Those at a table receiving a boost can win an additional cash prize.

As part of the latest boost, party is adding three more stake levels, even getting more micro players involved. The new levels include: $0.01/$0.02, $0.02/$0.05, and $1/$2. 

All cash and fastforward players up to $1/$2 are now eligible to win prizes. That brings the promotion to seven stake levels included in the payouts.

Partypoker is also increasing the maximum prizes at each level. Awards now range from $10 to $1,000 – free cash just for playing.

The promotion is popular, with more than 50% of players seeing a Hot Table at least once per playing day. Almost 30% of players have won a prize at least once per playing day.

The biggest Hot Tables prize won so far has been $490. Partypoker is now giving players the opportunity to win more than double that amount.

“It has been great to see the positive response on Hot Tables from players,” partypoker head of poker product Ross McQuater said in a news release. “Expanding to additional stakes will help ensure even more players get to experience this great new feature. There will be more updates coming soon to help make Hot Tables even more engaging for players.”

WPT Online Series gets underway

Plenty more is in store for players at partypoker. That begins today with the WPT Online Series, which runs through June 2.

Players will find a loaded schedule with something for every buy-in. The $3,200 WPT Main Event begins on May 23 and comes with a $3 million guarantee.

The WPT Online is coming to partypoker and the site released the official schedule on Tuesday with plenty of action running May 14 to June 2.

The series kicks off the WPT’s 19th season and will feature some of the perks associated with a live tour event. Some of those include:

  • Adding the winner’s name to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup
  • Receiving a replica of the trophy
  • Winning a Hublot watch
  • Accumulating Player of the Year points

Friday’s action kicks off with five events, including the $33 Pro Hunt. Players who knock out one of the pros in the field win main event satellite tickets. The winner takes home a seat into the main event. Here’s a look at the complete series:

More series heading to partypoker

Even more is planned for tournament players in the coming weeks. That includes more from the WPT with the WPTDeepStacks Online set for July 9-28.

A complete schedule hasn’t been released but the $1,650 main event kicks off July 18 with three starting flights. The $330 Mini Main Event also runs July 10-14 with three starting flights.

The site’s Grand Prix Online is also set for Aug. 1-17 with a host of $55 tournaments and major prize pools. A full schedule will be released soon. The site promises a deep slate of satellites for all players to participate.

Magic Cards make their debut

Partypoker has also added another promotion this month, promising even more free money for players. Magic Cards launched on May 12 and allow players to win a free prize every day, up to $500.

Players simply need to head to the “Promotions” tab in the poker client to find Magic Cards under the “Poker Offers’” header.

Then simply click on “Magic Cards – Free Pick” to receive four face-down cards. Click on one to flip it over and reveal a prize.

Additional Magic Cards can be earned by completing simple tasks such as earning five cashback points. The promotion offers plenty of opportunities for some free money.
