While live poker may be on hold for the most part right now, Triton Poker is at least offering fans more televised coverage. The company is growing its broadcast footprint and recently announced a TV deal for the United Kingdom.
Triton Poker will now be aired on the FreeSports network in the UK and adds to the series’ growing number of countries televising the action. FreeSports offers a wide variety of events and is available through numerous satellite and cable operators.
Triton adds another TV partner
Televised poker has been a big part of poker success since the 2000s. The new deal allows FreeSports to air “Triton Million: A Helping Hand For Charity.” The £1 million buy-in event that took place in London in 2019.
The event featured 54 pros and business people for a £54 million prize pool. First place paid out £19 million, the biggest in poker history.
FreeSports reaches 22 million homes – a considerable addition for the series. The first of 10 episodes begins Oct. 1. Viewers can also check out the action on the FreeSports online player, which is downloadable online.
The UK deal comes after Triton recently added several other TV outlets. The Triton Million was broadcast on Canada’s largest sports network, TSN. Sport 5 in Israel and Sport 1, available in several Eastern European countries, also showed the event.

Malaysian businessmen and poker fans Richard Yong and Paul Phua founded Triton Poker in 2015.
The series offers exclusive tournament series for wealthy business professionals and pro poker players. Events take place in some of the most luxurious locations in the world and at some of the highest stakes.
Triton tournaments and cash games have generated plenty of views online. This 2018 hand between Jason Koon and Elton Tsang became the biggest televised cash game pot in poker history.
Funds from Triton Poker events also help raise millions of dollars for charitable organizations. Some of those have included Project Pink, the Red Cross, and Raising for Effective Giving.
Some Triton champions include Fedor Holz, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, Justin Bonomo, John Juanda, Dan Colman, Koon, and Phil Ivey.
