The day Pennsylvania<\/strong> gaming enthusiasts have been waiting for is officially on the horizon \u2014 the start of legal\u00a0online gaming <\/strong>is upon us.<\/p>\n Last week, Kevin O\u2019Toole<\/strong>, executive director<\/strong> of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB)<\/strong>, announced iGaming<\/strong> would begin on July 15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Here is more from O\u2019Toole:<\/p>\n \u201cStaff has reviewed the estimated time that it would take for us and the industry to complete all necessary steps, and it is our view that 90 days would be adequate. Accordingly, I have advised the 10 iGaming certificate holders and three iGaming operators that a coordinated go-live period for interactive gaming will commence on July 15, 2019.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n As far as mobile sports betting, launch dates will come much sooner than July.\u00a0\u00a0Rivers<\/strong> and Sugarhouse<\/strong>\u00a0are likely just\u00a0days away<\/strong> from starting testing periods, making them the first to launch mobile sports betting within one week. Many more will unroll throughout the month of May.<\/p>\n Should everything go according to plan, Pennsylvania will become the fourth state<\/strong> with mobile sports betting<\/strong> and fourth state with legal online poker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Pennsylvania will join Delaware<\/strong>, New Jersey<\/strong> and Nevada<\/strong> with legal online gambling.<\/p>\n Eighteen months ago, Gov. Tom Wolf<\/strong> signed H 271<\/strong>, an expansive gaming package.<\/p>\n Ten of the state\u2019s 13 casinos have secured permits to offer table games<\/strong> and slot machines online<\/strong>. Seven<\/strong> of the 10<\/strong> will also have online poker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Licenses to offer all three (slot machines, table games and poker) had an initial price point of $10 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Other provisions in the bill allow for:<\/p>\n Play At SugarHouse Online Casino Now<\/p>\n<\/div>\nThe long road to PA online gaming<\/span><\/h2>\n
