Not surprisingly, it was<strong> very important<\/strong>.\u00a0 Chief Experience &amp; Marketing Officer for MGM Resorts International\u00a0Lilian Tomovich explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMGM Resorts has long been committed to creating moments guests can\u2019t find elsewhere. This research reinforces our belief that entertainment is critical to the human experience and provides the backbone of our new corporate marketing campaign, \u2018Welcome to the Show.\u2019 With our 78,000 employees around the world, we are committed to wowing guests at every turn.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span id=\"no_shortage_of_entertainment_options_at_mgm_springfield\">No shortage of entertainment options at MGM Springfield<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Entertainment is a key component at<strong> MGM Springfield<\/strong>. The Massachusetts\u00a0commercial casino is slated to open in September.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the usual array of casino entertainment, MGM announced the Springfield casino will contain:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cinema<\/li>\n<li>Bowling alley<\/li>\n<li><strong>Topgolf Swing Suite<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re super excited about this partnership and we think it rounds out our entertainment programming but there is still more to come,\u201d <strong>Sarah Moore<\/strong>, MGM Springfield\u2019s vice-president of marketing and retail, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.masslive.com\/mgm_springfield\/index.ssf\/2018\/03\/mgm_springfield_adds_simulated.html\">told <strong>MassLive.com<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cIt provides golf enthusiasts with year-round golf play. No longer will golf enthusiasts be at the mercy of the seasons and the weather.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Topgolf space is the first in Massachusetts. Additionally, MGM Springfield will be the third MGM property with Topgolf. It joins<strong> MGM Grand<\/strong> in <strong>Las Vegas<\/strong> and <strong>MGM Detroit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"the_mgm_springfield_topgolf_experience\">The MGM Springfield Topgolf experience<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>According to MGM, the <strong>2,800 square-foot<\/strong> Topgolf Swing Suite will house three simulators, a bar and lounge, and access from the property\u2019s outdoor plaza.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to MassLive.com, a representative or Topgolf summed up the Swing Suite as:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cAn immersive social experience offering guests a comfy lounge to play and enjoy fantastic food and beverage service. With a massive screen and a selection of exciting virtual games, the Topgolf Suite delivers a one-of-a-kind simulation that\u2019s fun for golfers and non-golfers alike.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span id=\"mgms_focus_on_entertainment\">MGM\u2019s focus on entertainment<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The Welcome to the Show campaign first\u00a0debuted in late September.\u00a0 However, MGM delayed the full rollout following the tragedy at <strong>Mandalay Bay<\/strong> on <strong>Oct. 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is an attempt to shift the company\u2019s current image from hospitality and gaming to entertainment by \u201cturning the spotlight on the incredible array of entertainment experiences that form the nexus across the company\u2019s 27 distinctive resort destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As MGM Resorts Chairman and CEO <strong>Jim Murren<\/strong> said in September:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOur new Welcome to the Show campaign is an epic invitation, designed to declare our point of view to the world and tie together our deep and diverse portfolio of resorts, from those that define the famed Las Vegas Strip to those
