Michigan<\/span><\/strong> got its first pair of <\/span>sports betting<\/span> partnership deals just over a week into the new year.<\/span><\/p>\n On\u00a0<\/span>Jan. 6<\/span><\/strong>, both\u00a0<\/span>PointsBet\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>and\u00a0<\/span>The Stars Group<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0announced partnerships. They will create entries into the\u00a0<\/span>Michigan sports betting<\/span>\u00a0and general gaming market.<\/span><\/p>\n With the two heavy hitters breaking the mold, the race for the remaining\u00a0<\/span>24 land-based partners<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0has begun. And as a result, it would appear as though Michigan bettors will have no shortage of retail and online sports betting options.<\/span><\/p>\n The holiday celebration in Michigan\u00a0<\/span>included a signature from\u00a0<\/span>Gov. Gretchen Whitmer<\/span><\/strong>. The bill legalized retail and online sports betting<\/strong>, online casinos<\/strong> and online poker<\/strong>. As such, it joined\u00a0<\/span>Delaware<\/span><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span>New Jersey<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Pennsylvania<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0as the only states to offer all three verticals.<\/span><\/p>\nBrand names set for Michigan sports betting<\/span><\/h2>\n
