Table tennis<\/strong> matches, Belarusian soccer<\/strong>, and a limited number of horse races<\/strong> are still filling the sports betting void.<\/p>\n And then futures wagering in the Keystone State reminds us there will be a better tomorrow for bettors, even if it still doesn\u2019t include the presidential election.<\/p>\n Catering to an increasing player pool, the first-ever Pennsylvania Spring Championship of Online Poker<\/b> (PASCOOP) is underway via PokerStars PA<\/b>. Players are out in significant numbers, creating large fields with prize pools exceeding guarantees.<\/p>\n PokerStars PA has seen increases in traffic since casinos and other establishments shut down in mid-March.<\/p>\n Even before the tournament series began, most evenings were seeing\u00a03,000-4,000<\/b> or more seats filled across the site. That\u2019s double the number seen previously. The first weekend of PASCOOP saw that number jump to around 6,000.<\/p>\n PASCOOP features 100 tournaments and runs through\u00a0Monday, April 20<\/strong>\u00a0with the scheduled guarantees totaling $2 million<\/b>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0PASCOOP Main Event<\/b>\u00a0happens Sunday, April 19, the \u201cHigh\u201d version of which features a\u00a0$300 buy-in<\/b>\u00a0and a\u00a0$200,000 guarantee.<\/b> The \u201cLow\u201d will have a $50 buy-in<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0$100,000 guarantee<\/b>.<\/p>\n The full PASCOOP schedule\u00a0is online.<\/p>\n Since March 22, table tennis \u2013 ping pong is a trademarked name of one manufacturer \u2013 has been the top sport bet each day at PlaySugarHouse<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0BetRivers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That\u2019s of course because the NHL<\/strong>,\u00a0NBA<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0MLB<\/strong> seasons are in limbo, leaving Pennsylvania sportsbooks<\/strong> looking for what remains in the pantry\u00a0of PA\u2019s nine online sportsbooks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n There\u2019s Chinese Taipei basketball and Liga Pro short hockey.
