On Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board<\/strong>\u00a0(PGCB) voted to approve the Category 3 Slot Machine Licensee change from Valley Forge Casino Resort<\/strong> to Boyd Gaming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As part of the decision, Boyd Gaming, based in Las Vegas<\/strong>, Nevada<\/strong> agreed to pay a change of control fee to the Commonwealth of $1.35 million<\/strong>. That fee is in addition to the total cash consideration of $280.5 million<\/strong> for the property.<\/p>\n

Boyd Gaming presented its case to the PGCB<\/span><\/h2>\n

Boyd Gaming\u2019s executive management team presented its case for acquiring Montgomery County<\/strong>\u2018s Valley Forge Casino Resort before the PGCB. The presentation happened ahead of the board\u2019s vote to approve the sale.<\/p>\n
