Like the first three events, the fourth Pennsyl-MANIA is a two-day no-limit hold&#8217;em tournament with a big guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>However there are a few differences for Pennsyl-MANIA 4. Sunday&#8217;s event features a <strong>$300 buy-in<\/strong>, up from $200. Here are the particulars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Day 1 start time:<\/strong> Sun., Apr. 4, 5 p.m. ET (ends 7 hrs., 45 min. later)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day 2 start time:<\/strong> Mon., Apr. 5, 7 p.m. ET<\/li>\n<li><strong>Re-entries:<\/strong> Up to five re-entries during late registration period (first 4 hrs., 35 min.)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Starting stack:<\/strong> 100,000 chips (200 big blinds)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Levels:<\/strong> 15 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any final-table deal requires players to set aside at least <strong>$10,000<\/strong> to go to the eventual champion.<\/p>\n<p>The field should be a big one, if the recently completed <strong>PokerStars PA Bounty Builder Series<\/strong> is any indication. The <strong>75-event<\/strong> series that took place from <strong>Feb. 20-March 8<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.playpennsylvania.com\/pokerstars-bounty-builder-results\/\">awarded more than $2 million<\/a> across all tournaments.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"satellites_a_special_mega_satellite_and_a_depositor_freeroll\">Satellites, a special mega satellite, and a depositor freeroll<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As before, there are plenty of ways for PokerStars PA players to be part of Pennsyl-MANIA without paying full price for that $300 buy-in.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple <strong>satellites<\/strong> are happening each day on the site with buy-ins of <strong>$25<\/strong> or <strong>$30<\/strong>, each of which guarantees at least <strong>two seats<\/strong> into Pennsyl-MANIA.<\/p>\n<p>On the evening of <strong>Sat., Apr. 3<\/strong> at <strong>8:15 p.m. ET<\/strong> there is a special <strong>Pennsyl-MANIA Mega Satellite<\/strong>. That event costs <strong>$30<\/strong> to play and guarantees at least <strong>20 seats<\/strong> into Sunday&#8217;s big event.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, on <strong>Sun., Apr. 4<\/strong> at <strong>2 p.m. ET<\/strong> there is also a <strong>Pennsyl-MANIA Depositor Freeroll<\/strong>. Any PokerStars PA player who deposits at least <strong>$30<\/strong> while using the code <strong>&#8220;MANIA&#8221;<\/strong> at any time up until <strong>1:59 p.m. ET<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday<\/strong> earns entry into the freeroll.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>top 150 finishers<\/strong> in the freeroll will win Pennsyl-MANIA seats, which means PokerStars PA has added <strong>$45,000<\/strong> worth of value to the event.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"first_pennsyl-mania_still_holds_record_for_largest_prize_pool\">First Pennsyl-MANIA still holds record for largest prize pool<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As happens with most film franchises, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playpennsylvania.com\/pokerstars-pa-pennsyl-mania-recap\/\">first Pennsyl-MANIA<\/a> was the best, at least in terms of size.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament was held in <strong>May 2020<\/strong> and featured a $200 buy-in and $250,000 guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately the event attracted close to <strong>2,800 entries<\/strong>, which meant a prize pool of <strong>$515,964<\/strong> or more than twice the guarantee. That remains the largest prize pool of any tournament on PokerStars PA since its Nov. 2019 launch. <strong>&#8220;D-Low1527&#8221;<\/strong> won the tournament following a heads-up deal, taking away <strong>$69,670.69<\/strong> for the win.<\/p>\n<p>PokerStars PA decided to run it twice and scheduled a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playpennsylvania.com\/second-pennsyl-mania-376k-prize-pool\/\">second Pennsyl-MANIA<\/a> in <strong>Aug. 2020<\/strong>. The buy-in stayed at $200 with the guarantee was upped to $350,000.<\/p>\n<p>There were just over <strong>2,000<\/strong> entries, creating a prize pool of <strong>$376,836<\/strong>. The tournament ended in a four-way chop with <strong>&#8220;SlotWinna777&#8221;<\/strong> ultimately winning out and claiming a <strong>$44,641.87<\/strong> first prize.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playpennsylvania.com\/pokerstars-pa-500k-gtd-pennsyl-mania-2300-entries\/\">third Pennsyl-MANIA<\/a> in late <strong>Dec. 2020<\/strong> also had a $200 buy-in, and in that instance PokerStars PA aimed high with a $500,000 guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Despite attracting just over <strong>2,300 entries<\/strong>, the tournament was still around 380 entries shy of hitting the guarantee. That meant the <strong>$500,000<\/strong> prize pool included an overlay of just over $70,000. <strong>&#8220;PokerAnomoly&#8221;<\/strong> ultimately took the top prize of <strong>$74,147.85<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"big_weekend_for_pokerstars_us_sites\">Big weekend for PokerStars US sites<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Interestingly, this Sunday&#8217;s tournament is taking place alongside simultaneous events on both <strong>PokerStars Michigan<\/strong> and <strong>PokerStars New Jersey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>On PokerStars NJ, the <strong>New Jersey Classic<\/strong> features a <strong>$500<\/strong> buy-in and <strong>$100,000<\/strong> guarantee. Meanwhile on PokerStars MI the first ever <strong>Michigan Classic<\/strong> will take place with a <strong>$300<\/strong> buy-in and <strong>$500,000<\/strong> guarantee.<\/p>\n<p>Both events happen <strong>Apr. 4-5<\/strong> at the same time as Pennsyl-MANIA. Thus will this weekend&#8217;s tournament be compared both to earlier Pennsyl-MANIAs and to the other big events on PokerStars&#8217; US sites.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see just how big the fourth Pennsyl-MANIA turns out to be. There won&#8217;t be any <strong>pile drivers<\/strong> or <strong>body slams<\/strong> like in Tampa a couple of weeks from now.
