The <strong>WPT500<\/strong> recently crowned a champion and Brazilians continue to dominate the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Seven-Max Championship also paid out a winner and more main event <strong>qualifiers<\/strong> are in the works. Here\u2019s a look at some highlights from the series over the last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"championship_winners_named_this_week\">Championship winners named this week\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two big winners were crowned in the series over the last few days. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/brazil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brazil\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Eder Campana<\/strong> took first in the $2,100 buy-in WPT <strong>Seven-Max Championship<\/strong> on Monday, topping a field of <strong>489 players<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Campana scored a total payout of <strong>$169,957<\/strong> in the progressive knockout (PKO) event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the $530 WPT500 on Tuesday, Brazilian player <strong>Pedro Cavalieri<\/strong> took the victory for a total payout of <strong>$153,503<\/strong>. He beat a field of 2,295 entries to take the largest share of a <strong>$1.1 million<\/strong> prize pool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All nine finalists secured at least $13,212 and when heads-up, Cavalieri agreed a deal with Austria\u2019s <strong>Thomas Hueber<\/strong>. In the $225 Opener, Brazil\u2019s <strong>Luiz Orrico<\/strong> came out on top for <strong>$93,752<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event produced 4,777 entries with another Brazilian, <strong>Luiz Zattar Martins Jr<\/strong>., finishing runner-up for<strong> $68,727<\/strong>. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those numbers include prize payouts and bounties from the PKO event. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brazilians have seen some major success in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/reviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online tournament<\/a> series in recent weeks. That now continues at partypoker with three of the top five spots in the Opener going to players from the land of samba and sun.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Brazilian player also won the $22 Mini Opener. <strong>Ricardo Oliveira Barreto<\/strong> took home <strong>$17,424<\/strong> for taking the title. In the <strong>$1,050 WPT Grand<\/strong> (Phase Final), American <strong>Elio Fox<\/strong> found the winner\u2019s circle for $58,837. The event attracted 307 entries for a\u00a0 prize pool of $308,994.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team partypoker members found some winnings in this one as well. <strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong> took sixth for $10,864 and <strong>Jaime Staples<\/strong> finished 11th for $4,912.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the $215 WPT Super, <strong>Duarte Ranhada Da Cunha Afonso<\/strong> took the title for $15,000. In the $320 version, <strong>Ihar Tsaryk<\/strong> of Belarus won a combined $21,100 for his efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"the_week_ahead\">The week ahead<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Plenty of action remains in the week ahead with some major events still on tap. Two starting flights remain in the $5,300 Main Event, running Sept. 5 and 12.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The championship event comes with a <strong>$5 million<\/strong> guarantee and Day 2 is set for Sept. 13 and the final one day later.\u00a0 The first starting flight ran last Sunday with Hungary\u2019s <strong>Andras Nemeth<\/strong> finishing as chip leader. A total of 59 players moved on to Day 2.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some <strong>high rollers<\/strong> and huge guarantees are also ahead in the final two weeks. Here\u2019s a look at a few big remaining events:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>$2,100 Six-Max Championship<\/strong> (PKO) \u2013\u00a0Sept. 4-6, $1 million guaranteed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>$25,500 Super High Roller<\/strong> Championship \u2013 Sept. 5, $1 million guaranteed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>$2,100 Mix-Max<\/strong> Championship (PKO) \u2013\u00a0Sept. 11-12, $1 million guaranteed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>$2,100 Turbo<\/strong> Championship \u2013 Sept. 12-13, $200,000 guaranteed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"still_time_to_qualify_for_wpt_main_event\">Still time to qualify for WPT Main Event<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Players of all bankrolls still have the chance to get in the championship event. <strong>Centroll<\/strong> feeder satellites continue daily and another <strong>mega satellite<\/strong> is planned for Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Centrolls award at least <strong>15 tickets<\/strong> to the $4.40 buy-in Phase 1. Players making their way through that stage go into the $22 buy-in Phase 2.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s followed by the <strong>$109 Phase 3<\/strong>, which leads into the weekly final. Players can also buy into the $530 mega satellite directly, awarding as many as <strong>50 tickets<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some Team partypoker pros have already secured seats via satellite. <strong>Jeff Gross<\/strong> won his place after entering the satellite tree at Phase 3.
