The <strong>Colossus<\/strong> also wrapped up after seeing the second-largest number of entries of the series and almost a $4 million prize pool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only four events remain with action concluding on Sept. 27. Here\u2019s a look at the action from the last week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"event_25_315_superstack_turbo_bounty\">Event 25: $315 Superstack Turbo Bounty<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a 14th-place finish in the $1,000 GGMasters High Roller only days earlier for $11,246, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">France\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Jonathan Therme<\/strong> had another deep run and secured his first WSOP bracelet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A regular on the European poker scene, he took home a total of <strong>$75,620<\/strong> and also has $664,202 in live tournament winnings. Finland\u2019s <strong>Tommi Lankinen<\/strong> scored the runner-up spot for a total of $36,509. Romania\u2019s <strong>Tudor Cristian Bartha Lazar<\/strong> took third for $44,995.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"event_26_600_double_chance_nlhe\">Event 26: $600 Double Chance NLHE<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Jans Arends<\/strong>, of the Netherlands, came out on top in this event that produced a nice winner\u2019s payout of <strong>$129,745<\/strong>. This became his seventh cash of the series and first bracelet. He also has $522,144 in live tournament winnings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Andreas Christoforou<\/strong>, of Cyprus, finished runner-up for $97,294. American <strong>Dylan Linde<\/strong> came close to his second bracelet, finishing third for $72,960. The event saw 1,777 entries for a $1 million prize pool<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"event_27_1500_fifty_stack_bounty\">Event 27: $1,500 Fifty Stack Bounty<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Fifty Stack action brought in a total of 1,597 entries and created a prize pool of $2.3 million. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/canada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canada\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Mark Radoja<\/strong> (pictured in lead image, courtesy WSOP) came out on top for a $95,460 payday and the third bracelet of his career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Canadian has more than $3.3 million in live tournament winnings including $2.5 million on the WSOP alone. Austria\u2019s <strong>Justus Held<\/strong> finished in second for $95,229. This was the fourth-largest prize pool of the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tournament also produced more entries than every other event except for the Million Dollar Mystery Bounty, which brought in 51,003.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ourania <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> Zarkantzia<\/strong>, of Greece, was the last player standing for a colossal payout of <strong>$378,508<\/strong>. The win brings this player\u2019s first bracelet and biggest career win.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Alexandre Ragazzi<\/strong> took runner-up for $283,837, the largest win by far for this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/brazil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brazilian<\/a> rounder. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/germany\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Germany\u2019s<\/a> Mauricio Ferreira Pais took third for $212,848.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"event_29_5000_short_deck_championship\">Event 29: $5,000 Short Deck Championship<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Short Deck action saw 145 entries for a $688,750 prize pool. For those new to the game, <strong>Short Deck<\/strong> sees all deuces, threes, fours, and fives stripped from the deck. So players use only a 36-card deck, creating plenty of action and high hands<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reduced number of cards even changes the hand rankings a bit. A flush becomes a higher hand than a full house and three of a kind beats a straight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this championship, <strong>Benjamin Miner<\/strong> captured the title for <strong>$688,750<\/strong>. The American player\u2019s record includes $525,279 in live tournament winnings and he now has his first bracelet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"looking_ahead\">Looking ahead<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only four events remain on the schedule with events concluding on Sept. 27. The second day of action and final table of the $5,000 <strong>Main Event<\/strong> highlights the final days of action. That event comes with a <strong>$20 million<\/strong> guarantee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those with lower bankrolls can circle the <strong>$400 Closer<\/strong> on their calendars as well.
