You may not have noticed it if you\u2019re outside of New Jersey<\/strong>, Nevada<\/strong> or Delaware<\/strong>. However, May 1 marked the biggest day for online poker in the US<\/strong> since Black Friday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n On April 15, 2011, otherwise known as Black Friday to the poker community, the US Department of Justice<\/strong> effectively shut down online poker across the country. The DOJ blocked access to the biggest sites in the industry. It also charged the sites\u2019 principles with various illegal gambling and money laundering charges.<\/p>\n In contrast, May 1, 2018 will be remembered as the day US online poker truly began coming back.<\/p>\n
